HMCS Halifax arrived back in Halifax on January 24 after completing a 6-month deployment on Op REASSURANCE as the Flagship for Standing NATO Maritime Group Two, focusing on maritime security and deterrence measures in the Mediterranean and southern Europe. HMCS Fredericton departed earlier in the week and is now en route to replace Halifax and continue Canada’s commitment to Op REASSURANCE.
