While deployed in the North Atlantic as part of Operation REASSURANCE, the ship’s company of HMCS Ville de Québec raised the Survivors’ Flag aboard the ship to mark the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30.
Back on land, members of Formation Halifax attended a number of special events and raised flags across CFB Halifax and 12 Wing Shearwater. These commemorations recognize the impacts of the residential school system, honouring Survivors, their families and communities, and those who never returned home.
