The Halifax Hurricanes of the National Basketball League of Canada hosted plenty of MARLANT and DND guests on March 25 for their first annual CAF/DND Appreciation Day – with free tickets for those with military ID and discounted prices for others. Special inflatables and other activities were set up for the kids, and the Hurricanes put on an exciting show, taking a 118-111 win over the Cape Breton Highlanders. CFB Halifax Base Commander Capt(N) Paul Forget, seen here with his three daughters, spoke before tipoff to thank the Hurricanes organization for their support and wish them luck in the upcoming NBL Canada playoffs.
