WHY DID YOU JOIN THE CAF?
I wanted a change of scenery and there weren’t many employment opportunities for me in Halifax with my post-secondary education. It seemed like the right thing to do at the time, and I’m really happy that I made the choice to sign up.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR JOB?
The travelling is the best part; I’ve been to so many interesting and fun places I never thought I’d get to see.
HOW IS YOUR EXPERIENCE ON OP REASSURANCE SO FAR?
It’s really exciting getting to work with new people and learn new skills in a fast-paced environment.
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR FAVOURITE PART OF OP REASSURANCE SO FAR?
It would be the port visit to Barcelona, Spain. The city was amazing, so many things to see and do.
PREVIOUS DEPLOYMENTS:
None
HOW OFTEN DO YOU TRAVEL BACK TO YOUR HOMETOWN?
I never left home due to Halifax being my first posting, but I’m traveling to Tokyo, Japan for my mid-deployment leave. I’ve never been before, so I’m super excited to have this opportunity.
ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO ADD? If you’re not sure about joining but think it might be interesting, just go for it. I’m glad I did! I learn new things and experience new challenges every day.
