The presentation of the ship’s bell was one of the events marking the official welcoming of MV Asterix to Canadian Fleet Atlantic on March 6 at a ceremony in the ship’s hangar. VAdm Ron Lloyd, Commander RCN, Federal Fleet Services CEO Spencer Fraser, and a number of other dignataries were present for the celebration. As the RCN’s new AOR ship, Asterix will enable the Navy to meet its core missions to prepare, train, equip and deploy naval forces for missions assigned by the Government of Canada at home and abroad.
