MARLANT’s first annual Navy Bike Ride was held on June 2, starting from 12 Wing Shearwater. More than 300 cyclists completed either a 6km, 15km, or 30km route along the Shearwater Flyer Trail and the scenic Salt Marsh Trail, in a non-competitive atmosphere. Great prizes were handed out afterward for participants, and organizers said the response to the inaugural event was fantastic, with plans for next year already in the works.
