L'exercice maritime Dynamic Manta 2023 de l'OTAN s'est d\u00e9roul\u00e9 au large de la c\u00f4te sicilienne fin f\u00e9vrier et d\u00e9but mars.<\/span><\/p>\n

Des navires, des sous-marins, des a\u00e9ronefs et du personnel de neuf pays alli\u00e9s ont converg\u00e9 vers la M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e centrale pour s'entra\u00eener \u00e0 la lutte anti-sous-marine et \u00e0 la lutte anti-surface. Le NCSM Fredericton, actuellement d\u00e9ploy\u00e9 au sein du 2e Groupe de la Force navale permanente de l'OTAN, a particip\u00e9 \u00e0 l'exercice avec son h\u00e9licopt\u00e8re CH-148 Cyclone embarqu\u00e9.<\/p>\n

L'objectif de Dynamic Manta \u00e9tait d'offrir \u00e0 tous les participants un entra\u00eenement \u00e0 la guerre complexe et stimulant afin d'am\u00e9liorer l'interop\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 et les comp\u00e9tences en mati\u00e8re de lutte anti-sous-marine et anti-surface. Chaque unit\u00e9 participante aura l'occasion de mener diverses op\u00e9rations de guerre sous-marine. Les sous-marins se relaieront pour chasser et \u00eatre chass\u00e9s, en coordonnant \u00e9troitement leurs efforts avec les participants a\u00e9riens et de surface.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab Dynamic Manta est l'un des exercices MARCOM les plus difficiles sur le plan technique et il a \u00e9t\u00e9 rendu possible gr\u00e2ce au soutien exceptionnel que nous avons re\u00e7u de la marine italienne en tant que pays h\u00f4te \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le contre-amiral Stephen Mack de la marine am\u00e9ricaine, commandant des sous-mariniers de l'OTAN. \u00ab La d\u00e9fense strat\u00e9gique de l'Alliance doit int\u00e9grer une r\u00e9ponse planifi\u00e9e et multi-menaces. Dynamic Manta fournit le cadre n\u00e9cessaire pour dispenser cette formation dans un large \u00e9ventail de comp\u00e9tences maritimes \u00e0 notre audience multinationale \u00bb.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Des sous-marins des marines grecque, italienne, turque et am\u00e9ricaine ont rejoint les navires de surface du Canada, de la Gr\u00e8ce, de l'Italie, de l'Espagne, de la Turquie et des \u00c9tats-Unis, y compris les navires du 2e groupe maritime permanent de l'OTAN, pour l'exercice. En outre, l'Allemagne, les \u00c9tats-Unis, la France, l'Italie et le Royaume-Uni fournissent des moyens a\u00e9riens, notamment des avions de patrouille maritime.<\/span><\/p>\n

En tant que pays h\u00f4te, l'Italie fournit un soutien aux ports de Catane et d'Augusta, \u00e0 la base navale d'h\u00e9licopt\u00e8res de Catane, aux bases a\u00e9ronavales de Sigonella et de Trapani, ainsi qu'\u00e0 la base navale d'Augusta.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dynamic Manta est l'un des quelque douze exercices maritimes dirig\u00e9s par le MARCOM qui ont lieu chaque ann\u00e9e, en plus des nombreux exercices nationaux visant \u00e0 accro\u00eetre l'\u00e9tat de pr\u00e9paration \u00e0 la d\u00e9fense de l'Alliance.
