Le Canada d\u00e9ploie deux navires de la classe Kingston en Ha\u00efti en r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 la crise s\u00e9curitaire qui se d\u00e9t\u00e9riore<\/b><\/h3>\n

\n<\/span>Le 16 f\u00e9vrier, le gouvernement du Canada a annonc\u00e9 le d\u00e9ploiement en Ha\u00efti de deux navires de la classe Kingston de la Marine royale canadienne \u00e0 la lumi\u00e8re de la crise s\u00e9curitaire qui s\u2019aggrave au pays. Le Canada vient en aide \u00e0 Ha\u00efti pour donner suite \u00e0 la demande d\u2019assistance du pays, au moment o\u00f9 les violences continuent de s\u2019y intensifier.<\/span><\/p>\n

Au cours des prochaines semaines, les Navires canadiens de Sa Majest\u00e9 (NCSM) Glace Bay et Moncton, comprenant une compagnie de plus de 90 marins de la Marine royale canadienne, r\u00e9aliseront des patrouilles de pr\u00e9sence dans les eaux ha\u00eftiennes et les environs, tout en mettant un accent particulier sur les eaux aux alentours de Port-au-Prince.<\/p>\n

Le d\u00e9ploiement dans la r\u00e9gion favorisera la connaissance de la situation maritime du Canada et aura pour but de renforcer les efforts en vue d\u2019\u00e9tablir et de maintenir la paix et la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 pour le peuple ha\u00eftien.<\/span><\/p>\n

Les navires de d\u00e9fense c\u00f4ti\u00e8re (NDC) de la classe Kingston sont des navires polyvalents ayant pour mission principale de mener des op\u00e9rations de surveillance et de patrouille c\u00f4ti\u00e8res.<\/span><\/p>\n

Depuis la mi-janvier, les NCSM Glace Bay et Moncton prennent part \u00e0 l\u2019op\u00e9ration PROJECTION en Afrique de l\u2019Ouest, o\u00f9 ils \u00e9tablissent des capacit\u00e9s et des relations de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 avec des pays dans le golfe de Guin\u00e9e. On s\u2019attend \u00e0 ce qu\u2019ils arrivent dans les eaux ha\u00eftiennes au cours des prochaines semaines et demeurent dans la r\u00e9gion pendant un certain nombre de semaines.<\/p>\n

L\u2019aide en mati\u00e8re de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 constitue l\u2019un des quatre piliers de la r\u00e9ponse pangouvernementale du Canada \u00e0 la crise en Ha\u00efti, laquelle mise aussi sur la diplomatie, les sanctions, de m\u00eame que l\u2019aide humanitaire et au d\u00e9veloppement.<\/span><\/p>\n

Les Forces arm\u00e9es canadiennes effectueront aussi la livraison en Ha\u00efti de trois autres v\u00e9hicules blind\u00e9s renforc\u00e9s contre les mines et les embuscades (MRAP) qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 achet\u00e9s par le gouvernement ha\u00eftien. Ceux-ci appuieront les efforts d\u00e9ploy\u00e9s par la Police nationale d\u2019Ha\u00efti dans le but de combattre la violence exerc\u00e9e par des gangs. Il s\u2019agira de la troisi\u00e8me livraison du genre en moins de six mois.<\/span><\/p>\n

Plus t\u00f4t ce mois-ci, un a\u00e9ronef de patrouille \u00e0 long rayon d\u2019action CP-140 Aurora de l\u2019Aviation royale canadienne a effectu\u00e9 deux survols pour soutenir les efforts du Canada visant \u00e0 perturber les activit\u00e9s men\u00e9es par des gangs en Ha\u00efti. Cet a\u00e9ronef de patrouille canadien a fourni des capacit\u00e9s ax\u00e9es sur le renseignement, la surveillance et la reconnaissance afin de renforcer les efforts visant \u00e0 \u00e9tablir et \u00e0 maintenir paix et s\u00e9curit\u00e9 pour le peuple ha\u00eftien.<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
