J\u2019appr\u00e9cie la possibilit\u00e9 de communiquer avec vous en cette occasion importante. Cette ann\u00e9e, la c\u00e9l\u00e9bration des contributions des Canadiens noirs au tissu social du Canada a pour moi une signification plus profonde que d\u2019habitude. En tant que nouveau champion de l\u2019\u00c9quipe de la D\u00e9fense pour les minorit\u00e9s visibles, en tant que membre de l\u2019\u00e9quipe du\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/fr\/ministere-defense-nationale\/organisation\/structure-organisationnelle\/chef-conduite-professionnelle-culture.html\" target=\"_self\">Chef \u2013 Conduite professionnelle et culture<\/a>\u00a0, en tant qu\u2019officier dans la Marine royale canadienne et dans les Forces arm\u00e9es canadiennes (FAC), et en tant que fier membre de la communaut\u00e9 noire, je ressens une gamme d\u2019\u00e9motions.<\/p>\n<p>Je me sens pr\u00e9occup\u00e9 par les difficult\u00e9s et les obstacles auxquels beaucoup de membres racis\u00e9s de l\u2019\u00c9quipe de la D\u00e9fense ont \u00e9t\u00e9 confront\u00e9s dans le milieu de travail au fil des ans. Je me sens joyeux, parce que nous avons v\u00e9ritablement commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 prendre des mesures pour \u00e9liminer les obstacles syst\u00e9miques fond\u00e9s sur le racisme et la discrimination. Je sens le poids de la transformation \u00e9volutive d\u00e9j\u00e0 amorc\u00e9e pour rendre l\u2019\u00c9quipe de la D\u00e9fense r\u00e9ellement inclusive. Mais surtout, je nourris l\u2019espoir que nous sommes maintenant tous dispos\u00e9s et habilit\u00e9s \u00e0 nous exprimer et \u00e0 avoir les conversations courageuses qui entra\u00eeneront un changement syst\u00e9mique r\u00e9el et durable au sein de notre organisation.<\/p>\n<p>En tant qu\u2019immigrant ayant presque 37 ans d\u2019exp\u00e9rience dans les FAC, j\u2019ai \u00e9t\u00e9 t\u00e9moin des microagressions, des pr\u00e9jug\u00e9s inconscients et du racisme qui ont d\u00e9courag\u00e9 de nombreux membres noirs de l\u2019\u00c9quipe de la D\u00e9fense d\u2019\u00eatre eux-m\u00eames au travail. La reconnaissance des perspectives et des exp\u00e9riences uniques de tous les employ\u00e9s renforce et soutient un environnement sain, professionnel et dynamique qui, au bout du compte, am\u00e9liorera notre efficacit\u00e9 et notre impact op\u00e9rationnels.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019\u00e9volution de la culture ne comporte pas d\u2019\u00e9tat final, particuli\u00e8rement en ce qui concerne la culture. C\u2019est un processus continu, dynamique et fluide. Mais ce processus a un point de d\u00e9part, en chacun et chacune de nous. Nous pouvons tous \u00eatre des ambassadeurs pour am\u00e9liorer individuellement et collectivement notre litt\u00e9ratie raciale et notre endurance, et pour apprendre l\u2019humilit\u00e9. Nous reconnaissons que toute personne a une histoire qui la fa\u00e7onne. Chacun et chacune de nous a des perspectives et des pr\u00e9jug\u00e9s qui se manifestent dans des comportements, et peut s\u2019am\u00e9liorer. Il faut que chaque membre de l\u2019\u00c9quipe de la D\u00e9fense se renseigne sur les exp\u00e9riences des communaut\u00e9s et coll\u00e8gues noirs et les difficult\u00e9s auxquelles ils sont confront\u00e9s. Il faut que chaque membre de l\u2019\u00c9quipe de la D\u00e9fense favorise l\u2019empathie et la compassion \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9gard du parcours des communaut\u00e9s et coll\u00e8gues noirs. En ce mois o\u00f9 nous c\u00e9l\u00e9brons les nombreuses r\u00e9alisations des Canadiens noirs, au sein du personnel civil et militaire, nous vous demandons de prendre du temps pour r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir \u00e0 votre r\u00f4le dans ce parcours.<\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\">Plusieurs outils et organisations sont l\u00e0 pour aider les membres de l\u2019\u00c9quipe de la D\u00e9fense \u00e0 orienter ce parcours. Le\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/intranet.mil.ca\/fr\/reseau-des-employes-noirs.page\" target=\"_self\">R\u00e9seau des employ\u00e9s noirs de l\u2019\u00c9quipe de la D\u00e9fense<\/a>\u00a0(accessible uniquement sur le r\u00e9seau de la D\u00e9fense nationale) et le\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/intranet.mil.ca\/fr\/emplacements\/rcn\/consultatif-gcmvd.page\" target=\"_self\">Groupe consultatif des minorit\u00e9s visibles de la D\u00e9fense <\/a>\u00a0(accessible uniquement sur le r\u00e9seau de la D\u00e9fense nationale) travaillent fort pour b\u00e2tir un environnement de travail plus \u00e9quitable et positif. Le Directeur \u2013 Mise en \u0153uvre de la lutte contre le racisme (Dir MOLCR) lancera bient\u00f4t un site Web o\u00f9 les membres de l\u2019\u00c9quipe de la D\u00e9fense trouveront une trousse d\u2019outils de lutte contre le racisme qui les aideront dans leurs efforts pour devenir des alli\u00e9s efficaces. Le site Web sera aussi un endroit id\u00e9al pour se renseigner sur d\u2019autres initiatives de lutte contre le racisme.<\/p>\n<p>Comment pouvez-vous contribuer \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tablissement d\u2019un environnement dans lequel nous pouvons tous et toutes nous \u00e9panouir, r\u00e9ussir et grandir en tant qu\u2019\u00eatres humains? Quel r\u00f4le pouvez-vous jouer pour b\u00e2tir l\u2019avenir que nous voulons? Chaque action, chaque interaction, chaque r\u00e9action nous affecte tous et toutes et se refl\u00e8te sur chacun et chacune de nous.
