L\u2019apr\u00e8s-midi du mardi 13 d\u00e9cembre 2022, des membres du quartier g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de la 5e Division du Canada participent \u00e0 une activit\u00e9 de collecte de fonds tenue dans le cadre de la Campagne de charit\u00e9 en milieu de travail de la D\u00e9fense nationale dans les unit\u00e9s, \u00e0 Halifax.

L\u2019objectif de la Campagne de charit\u00e9 en milieu de travail de la D\u00e9fense nationale est de recueillir de l\u2019argent pour la communaut\u00e9 et les membres de la 5e Division du Canada \u00e9taient heureux de participer \u00e0 ces efforts! Le 13 d\u00e9cembre 2022, les gens ont d\u00e9cor\u00e9 leurs espaces de travail, donner des articles pour des ventes aux ench\u00e8res et ils ont organis\u00e9 des ventes de plats maison afin de recueillir de l\u2019argent pour les personnes dans le besoin. Charity Starts at Home<\/b><\/h3>\n

Si vous visitez le quartier g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de la 5e Division du Canada au cours de la p\u00e9riode des F\u00eates, vous pourriez apercevoir des choses \u00e9tranges. Vous pourriez voir passer le Grincheux ou des soldats \u00e0 leur bureau portant des costumes de Tarzan ou de Mickey Mouse. Les espaces de travail pourraient ressembler \u00e0 des maisons hant\u00e9es ou \u00eatre d\u00e9cor\u00e9s de magnifiques guirlandes de No\u00ebl. Ne soyez pas inquiets, je vous assure que tout cela est pour une bonne cause. Ces militaires ont pay\u00e9 pour participer \u00e0 ces activit\u00e9s amusantes, pouvoir se d\u00e9guiser comme \u00e0 l\u2019Halloween ou participer \u00e0 des concours de d\u00e9corations de No\u00ebl dans leur espace de travail, tout \u00e7a pour recueillir de l\u2019argent pour la Campagne de charit\u00e9 en milieu de travail de la D\u00e9fense nationale (CCMTDN).<\/p>\n

\u00ab Collectivement, nous faisons preuve d\u2019une grande g\u00e9n\u00e9rosit\u00e9 chaque ann\u00e9e. Nous nous assurons que la CCMTDN demeure la campagne de collecte de fonds en milieu de travail la plus fructueuse au pays. En 2021, nous avons d\u2019ailleurs recueilli 29 millions de dollars \u00bb, souligne le Dr Jaspinder Komal, l\u2019actuel champion de la CCMTDN. \u00ab L\u2019an dernier, les dons provenant du MDN totalisaient 2,5 millions de dollars. Je suis conscient que la derni\u00e8re ann\u00e9e a \u00e9t\u00e9 difficile, mais dans l\u2019ensemble les membres de l\u2019\u00e9quipe de la D\u00e9fense ont continu\u00e9 de soutenir leurs communaut\u00e9s en faisant du b\u00e9n\u00e9volat. \u00bb<\/span><\/p>\n

Depuis plus de 50 ans, l\u2019\u00e9quipe de la D\u00e9fense appuie l\u2019initiative du gouvernement du Canada visant \u00e0 recueillir des fonds pour Centraide et d\u2019autres organismes de charit\u00e9 m\u00e9ritoires de partout au Canada par l\u2019interm\u00e9diaire de la CCMTDN. L\u2019an dernier, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 nos donneurs et aux formidables efforts de nos b\u00e9n\u00e9voles en coulisses, l\u2019\u00e9quipe de la D\u00e9fense a recueilli plus de 2,5 millions de dollars pour nos organismes de bienfaisance partenaires enregistr\u00e9s. Chaque dollar aide \u00e0 faire une diff\u00e9rence et chaque don est une occasion de contribuer \u00e0 faire un changement r\u00e9el et positif dans nos communaut\u00e9s.<\/span><\/p>\n

Selon le Dr Komal, \u00ab Le slogan de la CCMTDN est \"Plus forts ensemble\". Ce slogan a \u00e9t\u00e9 choisi pour souligner le th\u00e8me de l\u2019inclusivit\u00e9 et le sentiment d\u2019unit\u00e9. Il s\u2019agit d\u2019un excellent rappel du fait que, malgr\u00e9 les \u00e9preuves du pass\u00e9, la communaut\u00e9, qui est le lien qui nous unit, demeure en place \u00bb.<\/span><\/p>\n

Et pourquoi ne pas faire de la collecte de fonds une activit\u00e9 amusante et int\u00e9ressante? Les membres de chaque unit\u00e9 de notre division ont trouv\u00e9 des fa\u00e7ons de bien s\u2019amuser tout en menant une activit\u00e9 de collecte de dons. De la collecte de denr\u00e9es p\u00e9rissables \u00e0 la vente de plats maison en passant par la vente de billets pour les tirages moiti\u00e9-moiti\u00e9, les militaires de la 5e Division du Canada aiment travailler ensemble pour venir en aide \u00e0 nos communaut\u00e9s.
