Le 2 novembre 2022, la premi\u00e8re ma\u00eetre de deuxi\u00e8me classe (PM 2) Lynn Cassidy a re\u00e7u une Mention \u00e9logieuse du commandant de la Marine royale canadienne (MRC) pour sa participation \u00e0 l\u2019op\u00e9ration VECTOR, le soutien des Forces arm\u00e9es canadiennes aux gouvernements f\u00e9d\u00e9ral, provinciaux et territoriaux pour la distribution des vaccins contre la COVID-19, ainsi qu\u2019\u00e0 la campagne de vaccination contre la COVID-19 des Forces maritimes de l\u2019Atlantique (FMAR(A)) de 2021. Le capitaine de vaisseau Andy MacKenzie, commandant de la Base des Forces canadiennes (BFC) Halifax, a remis la mention \u00e9logieuse \u00e0 la PM 2 Cassidy au nom du commandant de la MRC, le vice-amiral Angus Topshee.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

La Mention \u00e9logieuse du commandement est d\u00e9cern\u00e9e aux membres de l\u2019\u00c9quipe de la D\u00e9fense en reconnaissance d\u2019actes ou d\u2019activit\u00e9s qui vont au-del\u00e0 des exigences du service normal. Il s\u2019agit d\u2019un honneur rare et sp\u00e9cial pour les membres de l\u2019\u00c9quipe de la D\u00e9fense.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab J\u2019\u00e9tais pleine \u00e0 craquer d\u2019honneur lorsque j\u2019ai appris que j\u2019allais recevoir la Mention \u00e9logieuse du commandement, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 la PM 2 Cassidy. Cela a toujours \u00e9t\u00e9 dans ma nature de faire passer les autres avant moi, alors c\u2019\u00e9tait inattendu et excitant de recevoir. \u00bb<\/span><\/p>\n

La PM 2 Cassidy \u00e9tait la coordonnatrice du programme de vaccination de l\u2019op\u00e9ration VECTOR de la BFC Halifax et a ensuite \u00e9t\u00e9 nomm\u00e9e responsable adjointe de la mise en \u0153uvre globale de la vaccination contre la COVID-19 des FMAR(A) le 25 mai 2021. Elle \u00e9tait responsable de la coordination et de l\u2019horaire de toutes les unit\u00e9s int\u00e9gr\u00e9es et h\u00e9berg\u00e9es de la Formation. Comme indiqu\u00e9 dans sa mention \u00e9logieuse, la PM 2 Cassidy a re\u00e7u la Mention \u00e9logieuse du commandement pour \u00ab son leadership ind\u00e9fectible, son professionnalisme, son ing\u00e9niosit\u00e9 inlassable et son attention m\u00e9ticuleuse aux d\u00e9tails qui ont eu un effet direct, important et positif sur l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 op\u00e9rationnelle globale de la Formation \u00bb.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab Lorsque j\u2019ai \u00e9t\u00e9 nomm\u00e9e l\u2019agente de liaison pour les vaccins (ALV) pour la BFC Halifax et ses unit\u00e9s h\u00e9berg\u00e9es dans le cadre de l\u2019Op VECTOR, j\u2019ai tout de suite accept\u00e9, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 la PM 2 Cassidy. La sant\u00e9 et la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des membres de notre \u00c9quipe de la D\u00e9fense sont tellement importantes et j\u2019\u00e9tais ravie de participer \u00e0 une activit\u00e9 aussi louable et remarquable. \u00bb\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Plus de 8 000 membres de l\u2019\u00c9quipe de la D\u00e9fense locale ont \u00e9t\u00e9 inclus lors de la mise en \u0153uvre initiale d\u2019Op VECTOR, et environ 95 % des membres de l\u2019\u00c9quipe de la D\u00e9fense locale ont choisi de recevoir la premi\u00e8re dose du vaccin.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
