CPL CONNOR BENNETT<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3><b>First change of command since 2019 for HMCS <\/b><b><i>Goose Bay<\/i><\/b><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n<p class=\" translation-block\"><b>Par Joanie Veitch,<br>\n<\/b>\u00c9quipe du trident<\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Lorsque le Capitaine de fr\u00e9gate (Capf) Daniel Rice a pris la barre du Navire canadien de Sa Majest\u00e9 (NCSM)  <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Goose Bay<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> en mars 2019, il ne s'attendait pas \u00e0 \u00eatre aux commandes du navire pendant les trois ann\u00e9es et demie suivantes - 1 309 jours pour \u00eatre exact.\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">S'adressant \u00e0 l'\u00e9quipage du navire et \u00e0 d'autres invit\u00e9s lors de la c\u00e9r\u00e9monie de passation de commandement - qui s'est tenue \u00e0 l'arsenal maritime de Halifax le 13 octobre - le Capf Rice a \u00e9num\u00e9r\u00e9 certains des moments les plus m\u00e9morables de son passage en tant que capitaine, notamment cette \u00e9trange p\u00e9riode de mars 2020, o\u00f9 les restrictions li\u00e9es \u00e0 la pand\u00e9mie COVID-19 ont compl\u00e8tement ray\u00e9 du calendrier les missions pr\u00e9vues.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00ab \u00c0 sa place, il y avait un groupe dispers\u00e9 de marins travaillant \u00e0 partir de leur domicile, et quelle p\u00e9riode int\u00e9ressante ce fut \u00bb, a-t-il dit. \u00ab Un bateau rempli de marins de la g\u00e9n\u00e9ration des forces, presque enti\u00e8rement en vue de Chebucto Head pendant pr\u00e8s d'un an.
