Le Navire canadien de Sa Majest\u00e9 (NCSM) St. John\u2019s a termin\u00e9 son instruction de disponibilit\u00e9 op\u00e9rationnelle interm\u00e9diaire multi-navires (IMSRT), le rapprochant ainsi de son d\u00e9ploiement en tant que navire amiral du 2e Groupe maritime permanent de l\u2019OTAN (SNMG2) en 2027.<\/p>\n

La fr\u00e9gate de la Marine royale canadienne (MRC) a termin\u00e9 l\u2019IMSRT \u00e0 l\u2019issue de l\u2019exercice STRIKE WARRIOR 26-2, un exercice multinational qui s\u2019est d\u00e9roul\u00e9 en \u00c9cosse et dans les approches de l\u2019Atlantique Nord. L\u2019IMSRT constitue la derni\u00e8re \u00e9tape de pr\u00e9paration op\u00e9rationnelle que le navire doit franchir avant son d\u00e9ploiement dans le cadre de l\u2019op\u00e9ration REASSURANCE l\u2019ann\u00e9e prochaine.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Au cours de l\u2019exercice, le NCSM St. John\u2019s a \u00e9volu\u00e9 aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s des forces navales alli\u00e9es au sein d\u2019un groupe op\u00e9rationnel maritime multinational. Il a particip\u00e9 \u00e0 des entra\u00eenements \u00e0 la lutte anti-sous-marine, \u00e0 des op\u00e9rations de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 maritime, \u00e0 des activit\u00e9s d\u2019int\u00e9gration air-mer ainsi qu\u2019\u00e0 des exercices de commandement et de contr\u00f4le.<\/p>\n

L\u2019exercice a r\u00e9uni du personnel et des moyens militaires du Canada, du Danemark, de la France, de l\u2019Allemagne, des Pays-Bas, de la Norv\u00e8ge, du Portugal et du Royaume-Uni afin de renforcer l\u2019interop\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 et de pr\u00e9parer les forces \u00e0 mener des op\u00e9rations maritimes complexes.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab L\u2019exercice STRIKE WARRIOR a mis l\u2019\u00e9quipage de notre navire \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9preuve dans un environnement exigeant et r\u00e9aliste et a d\u00e9montr\u00e9 ce qui peut \u00eatre accompli lorsque les forces alli\u00e9es travaillent comme une seule \u00e9quipe. Le NCSM St. John\u2019s termine cet exercice plus aff\u00fbt\u00e9, mieux int\u00e9gr\u00e9 et pr\u00eat \u00e0 contribuer partout o\u00f9 le Canada et ses alli\u00e9s auront besoin de lui \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le capitaine de fr\u00e9gate Kyle Aubrey, commandant du NCSM St. John\u2019s.<\/p>\n

L\u2019ach\u00e8vement de l\u2019IMSRT marque une \u00e9tape importante dans les pr\u00e9paratifs du NCSM St. John\u2019s en vue de son d\u00e9ploiement en 2027 comme navire amiral du SNMG2 dans le cadre de l\u2019op\u00e9ration REASSURANCE, la contribution du Canada aux mesures de r\u00e9assurance et de dissuasion de l\u2019OTAN en Europe. Le NCSM Ville de Qu\u00e9bec est actuellement d\u00e9ploy\u00e9 dans le cadre de la m\u00eame op\u00e9ration au sein du 1er Groupe maritime permanent de l\u2019OTAN (SNMG1).
