L\u2019\u00e9quipe du capitaine de port de Sa Majest\u00e9 (CPSM) de la Base des Forces canadiennes (BFC) Halifax r\u00e9alise des progr\u00e8s consid\u00e9rables avec son nouveau gros remorqueur naval. L\u2019instruction de l\u2019\u00e9quipage du navire auxiliaire des Forces canadiennes (NAFC) <\/span>Canso<\/span><\/i>bat son plein, apr\u00e8s un premier d\u00e9placement sans autopropulsion r\u00e9ussi avec le Navire canadien de Sa Majest\u00e9<\/span> Robert Hampton Gray <\/span><\/i>le 23 juillet. Bien que cette \u00e9tape importante ait \u00e9t\u00e9 franchie sous la supervision d\u2019un expert, l\u2019\u00e9quipage inaugural ach\u00e8ve actuellement ses derni\u00e8res listes de contr\u00f4le de transition propres aux CPSM, et l\u2019instruction compl\u00e8te devrait s\u2019achever au d\u00e9but de septembre 2026.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

L\u2019exploitation du NAFC <\/span>Canso<\/span><\/i> n\u00e9cessite un \u00e9quipage hautement qualifi\u00e9 de quatre personnes, compos\u00e9 d\u2019un capitaine, d\u2019un chef m\u00e9canicien et de deux matelots de pont, qui passe \u00e0 six personnes pour les remorquages c\u00f4tiers. La formation a repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 un effort majeur men\u00e9 en plusieurs phases, comprenant une initiation offerte par le fabricant, une formation pratique \u00e0 la BFC Esquimalt, o\u00f9 les deux premiers grands remorqueurs navals ont \u00e9t\u00e9 livr\u00e9s en 2024, une formation avanc\u00e9e sur simulateur ainsi qu\u2019un mentorat en mer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Dans l\u2019avenir, un deuxi\u00e8me gros remorqueur naval, le NAFC <\/span>Stella Maris<\/span><\/i>, devrait arriver \u00e0 Halifax avant No\u00ebl 2026. D\u2019ici l\u00e0, l\u2019\u00e9quipe du CPSM sera extr\u00eamement occup\u00e9e, car elle continue de mettre le <\/span>Canso<\/span><\/i> en service tout en pr\u00e9parant l\u2019\u00e9quipage du <\/span>Stella Maris<\/span><\/i>. L\u2019objectif ambitieux est de permettre au <\/span>Stella Maris<\/span><\/i>de passer imm\u00e9diatement en service op\u00e9rationnel. Afin de garantir une capacit\u00e9 op\u00e9rationnelle continue tout en g\u00e9rant ces nouvelles complexit\u00e9s logistiques, le CPSM envisage d\u2019adopter une approche lente et d\u00e9lib\u00e9r\u00e9e pour le retrait des remorqueurs existants de classe Glen, mais le plan de dessaisissement d\u00e9finitif n\u2019a pas encore \u00e9t\u00e9 achev\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\n
