Les Navires canadiens de Sa Majest\u00e9 (NCSM) <\/span>Moncton<\/span><\/i> et<\/span> Edmonton<\/span><\/i> passeront les quatre mois prochains en mettant leurs capacit\u00e9s avanc\u00e9es de contre-mesure de mine en naviguant aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s des alli\u00e9s d\u2019OTAN.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Apr\u00e8s \u00eatre partis d\u2019Halifax le 7 juillet, les deux Navires de d\u00e9fense c\u00f4ti\u00e8re (NDC) d\u00e9ploieront sur l\u2019Op\u00e9ration REASSURANCE pour rejoindre le Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group One (SNMCMG1) dans les eaux europ\u00e9ennes.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Les navires sont \u00e9quip\u00e9s d'une suite de contre-mesures de mines, d'outils et de sp\u00e9cialistes, incluant les v\u00e9hicules sous-marins autonomes de REMUS 100 et des \u00e9quipages des plongeurs-d\u00e9mineurs de la Marine royale canadienne (MRC).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cNotre navire fera partie d\u2019une force multinationale compos\u00e9e des chasseurs de mines et des dragueurs de mines qui s'engagent principalement dans les t\u00e2ches de la recherche et de l'\u00e9limination de munitions pour minimiser la menace des mines et ainsi contribuant au secours de la navigation globale,\u201d a dit le Capitaine de corvette (capc) Justin Wong, Officier commandant du NCSM Moncton et Commandant de force op\u00e9rationnelle pendant le d\u00e9ploiement.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cLes autres t\u00e2ches du groupe incluent aussi la protection d\u2019infrastructure, des ol\u00e9oducs \u00e0 des donn\u00e9es et des c\u00e2bles d'\u00e9nergie.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
