Suite \u00e0 une semaine en naviguant sur la c\u00f4te est am\u00e9ricaine, le Navire canadien de Sa Majest\u00e9 (NCSM) <\/span>St. John\u2019s<\/span><\/i> a conclu sa participation \u00e0 FLEETEX 250.<\/span><\/p>\n

Le navire a repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 le Canada sous le commandement du Capitaine de fr\u00e9gate (capf) Kyle Aubrey, partout l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement de deux semaines. La fr\u00e9gate de la classe Halifax a particip\u00e9 aux activit\u00e9s allant des exercices de communications \u00e0 la simulation de guerre puis aux tactiques d\u2019artillerie. <\/span>St. John\u2019s<\/span><\/i> a op\u00e9r\u00e9 avec une gamme de plateformes incluant des porte-avions, des destroyers, des vaisseaux de r\u00e9approvisionnement et des sous-marins.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cL\u2019\u00e9quipe a d\u00e9montr\u00e9 la comp\u00e9tence exceptionnelle et le travail d\u2019\u00e9quipe formidable partout, un exercice de formation d\u00e9fiant\u201d, a dit capf Aubrey. \u201cCe type d\u2019exercice haut de gamme fournit de la formation pr\u00e9cieuse pour nos marins, en augmentant la pr\u00e9paration de notre navire et notre capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 int\u00e9grer efficacement avec les marines partenaires pour les missions futures.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

La Marine royale canadienne (MRC) dit que ce type d'exercice multinational \u00e0 haute intensit\u00e9 fournit aux navires l\u2019occasion de travailler avec une large gamme de marines alli\u00e9es et partenaires, une pratique qui soutient leur but commun de garder l\u2019Atlantique s\u00fbr et stable.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cLes exercices comme celui-ci fortifient notre interop\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 et assurent que la MRC reste pr\u00eate \u00e0 contribuer \u00e0 la d\u00e9fense collective et \u00e0 la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 maritime\u201d, a ajout\u00e9 le Commodore Jacob French, commandant de la Flotte canadienne de l'Atlantique, dans un communiqu\u00e9 de presse rel\u00e2ch\u00e9 \u00e0 la suite de l\u2019exercice.<\/span><\/p>\n

Li\u00e9 aux \u00e9v\u00e9nements marquant le 250\u1d49 anniversaire des \u00c9tats-Unis, l\u2019exercice am\u00e9ricain a \u00e9t\u00e9 organis\u00e9 par la deuxi\u00e8me flotte am\u00e9ricaine et ses alli\u00e9s FLEETEX a commenc\u00e9 aux lieux d\u2019op\u00e9ration \u00e0 Cherry Point et Virginia Capes et a conclu avec une phase portuaire \u00e0 Norfolk, Virginia. Souvent consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme \u2018le c\u0153ur battant\u2019 de la marine am\u00e9ricaine, la Base navale \u00e0 Norfolk en Virginie est la plus grande du pays.<\/p>\n
