Les activit\u00e9s men\u00e9es au large des c\u00f4tes australiennes fin mars ont constitu\u00e9 un moment fort du d\u00e9ploiement en cours du NCSM Charlottetown dans la r\u00e9gion indo-pacifique, l'\u00e9quipage ayant pris part \u00e0 l'exercice KAKADU.<\/p>\n

Organis\u00e9 par la Marine royale australienne, cet exercice biennal a r\u00e9uni plus de 20 navires, des a\u00e9ronefs de soutien et plus de 6 000 membres d'\u00e9quipage provenant de 18 pays partenaires. Con\u00e7u pour renforcer la coop\u00e9ration et l'interop\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 entre les forces navales r\u00e9gionales et internationales, l'exercice comprenait un large \u00e9ventail d'activit\u00e9s, allant de sc\u00e9narios de maintien de l'ordre \u00e0 des exercices de combat de haut niveau.<\/p>\n

Le Charlottetown a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9ploy\u00e9 avec son CH-148 Cyclone embarqu\u00e9 et environ 240 marins et membres du d\u00e9tachement a\u00e9rien. Au cours de l'exercice, le navire a contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 la formation multinationale dans des domaines tels que la lutte anti-sous-marine, la guerre de surface et les op\u00e9rations d'abordage, en collaboration avec des partenaires de toute la r\u00e9gion indo-pacifique et au-del\u00e0.<\/p>\n

Parall\u00e8lement \u00e0 l'entra\u00eenement en mer, l'\u00e9quipage du navire a particip\u00e9 \u00e0 des activit\u00e9s \u00e0 terre, notamment des \u00e9v\u00e9nements de rencontre multinationaux et des visites officielles aupr\u00e8s des marines partenaires. Le navire a \u00e9galement organis\u00e9 une r\u00e9ception pendant son escale, offrant ainsi une occasion suppl\u00e9mentaire de nouer des liens avec ses homologues internationaux.<\/p>\n

Un moment marquant de l'exercice a \u00e9t\u00e9 celui o\u00f9 le Charlottetown a men\u00e9 une formation multinationale dans le port \u00e0 la suite d'un exercice photographique \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle, refl\u00e9tant ainsi son r\u00f4le important au sein du groupe op\u00e9rationnel r\u00e9uni.<\/p>\n

Pour de nombreux participants, cet exercice comprenait \u00e9galement la participation \u00e0 la revue navale de 2026 dans le port de Sydney. Cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement a r\u00e9uni 19 nations lors d'une entr\u00e9e solennelle, marquant l'un des plus grands rassemblements navals internationaux dans le port depuis plus d'une d\u00e9cennie et comm\u00e9morant les 125 ans de la marine australienne.<\/p>\n

L'exercice KAKADU, organis\u00e9 pour la premi\u00e8re fois en 1993, n'a cess\u00e9 de gagner en ampleur et en complexit\u00e9, ses zones d'op\u00e9ration couvrant d\u00e9sormais une grande partie des c\u00f4tes est et nord de l'Australie.<\/p>\n
