L\u2019objectif de sa visite \u00e9tait d\u2019en apprendre davantage sur la fa\u00e7on dont l\u2019Alliance acc\u00e9l\u00e8re la mise en \u0153uvre de nouvelles technologies.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Fond\u00e9 en 2021, le DIANA de l\u2019Organisation du Trait\u00e9 de l'Atlantique Nord est con\u00e7u pour renforcer l\u2019avantage technologique de l\u2019Alliance en trouvant et en mettant en \u0153uvre de nouvelles solutions en mati\u00e8re de capacit\u00e9 de d\u00e9fense et en acc\u00e9l\u00e9rant leur d\u00e9veloppement.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">La visite a mis en lumi\u00e8re le r\u00f4le croissant du Canada dans les efforts d\u2019innovation de l\u2019OTAN. Chaque ann\u00e9e, le DIANA lance un d\u00e9fi aux innovateurs et les invite \u00e0 proposer des solutions aux probl\u00e8mes r\u00e9els et \u00e9mergents auxquels font face les forces alli\u00e9es.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Apr\u00e8s un exigeant processus de s\u00e9lection en trois \u00e9tapes, les innovateurs participent \u00e0 un programme d\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e9ration de six mois qui les aide \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper leurs activit\u00e9s et leurs technologies et \u00e0 harmoniser leurs efforts avec les besoins de l\u2019industrie de la d\u00e9fense. Dans certains cas, la production des solutions peut commencer en aussi peu que 12 mois.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00ab En d\u00e9finissant clairement les d\u00e9fis auxquels nous sommes confront\u00e9s, en invitant des innovateurs non traditionnels \u00e0 proposer des solutions, en s\u00e9lectionnant rigoureusement les meilleurs et en leur offrant un programme con\u00e7u sp\u00e9cialement pour eux, des centres d\u2019essai, des ressources et un acc\u00e8s direct aux utilisateurs finaux de la d\u00e9fense, le DIANA acc\u00e9l\u00e8re la concr\u00e9tisation des id\u00e9es en prototypes et en capacit\u00e9 op\u00e9rationnelle \u00bb, explique le major-g\u00e9n\u00e9ral Paul Peyton, directeur militaire adjoint du DIANA pour l\u2019Am\u00e9rique du Nord. Il souligne que cette acc\u00e9l\u00e9ration est essentielle au maintien de l\u2019avantage technologique de l\u2019OTAN et de la d\u00e9fense collective.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Certains innovateurs participent \u00e9galement \u00e0 des op\u00e9rations et \u00e0 des exercices militaires. En travaillant directement avec les utilisateurs finaux, ils peuvent perfectionner leurs technologies, qui se rapprochent de l\u2019adoption par un pays alli\u00e9.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Gr\u00e2ce au service d\u2019adoption rapide du DIANA, les pays alli\u00e9s peuvent conclure des contrats de recherche, de mise au point de prototype ou de production avec des innovateurs sans avoir recours \u00e0 de longs processus concurrentiels exigeant beaucoup de ressources.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">L\u2019engagement du Canada comprend une forte participation de l\u2019industrie, du milieu universitaire et des utilisateurs finaux de la d\u00e9fense. Cette ann\u00e9e, les innovateurs canadiens ont soumis le plus grand nombre de demandes de participation au programme de toute l\u2019Alliance, et 22 des 150 entreprises s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9es pour la cohorte 2026 du DIANA sont canadiennes.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Les innovateurs suivent le programme d\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e9ration \u00e0 l\u2019un des 16 sites de l\u2019OTAN, dont le COVE \u00e0 Dartmouth, en Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse.
