La marine allemande pr\u00e9voit d'adopter une technologie navale canadienne principale, ce qui marque une \u00e9tape importante dans le partenariat croissant entre les deux pays en mati\u00e8re de d\u00e9fense. Dans le cadre d'un nouvel accord d'un milliard de dollars, l'Allemagne va int\u00e9grer le syst\u00e8me de gestion de combat 330 (CMS 330) de Lockheed Martin, d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 au Canada, \u00e0 sa flotte.<\/span>

\n<\/span>Le CMS 330 a d'abord \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 pour les fr\u00e9gates de classe Halifax de la Marine royale canadienne et est utilis\u00e9 par le Canada et les marines alli\u00e9es depuis plus de 25 ans.<\/span><\/p>\n

Le gouvernement f\u00e9d\u00e9ral dit que la collaboration entre les marines allemande et canadienne gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ce syst\u00e8me va aider les deux pays en renfor\u00e7ant la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et en offrant des opportunit\u00e9s d'innovation et de croissance \u00e9conomiques.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dans un communiqu\u00e9 de presse d'Affaires mondiales Canada, le ministre du Commerce international, Maninder Sidhu, a qualifi\u00e9 cet accord \u00ab historique entre le Canada et l'Allemagne [qui met en valeur] la force de l'innovation canadienne, ainsi que notre engagement envers la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 mondiale \u00bb.<\/span><\/p>\n

Glenn Copeland, directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de Lockheed Martin, s'est \u00e9galement dit fier \u00ab que notre syst\u00e8me de gestion de combat CMS 330 ait \u00e9t\u00e9 s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 par la marine allemande \u00bb. <\/span>

Cette nouvelle fait suite \u00e0 un accord pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent sur la coop\u00e9ration en mati\u00e8re de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 maritime entre le Canada, la Norv\u00e8ge et l'Allemagne en juillet 2024, auquel La Haye, aux Pays-Bas, et le Danemark se sont joints lors du sommet de l'OTAN un mois plus tard.<\/span><\/p>\n

En octobre 2024, le gouvernement f\u00e9d\u00e9ral a sign\u00e9 un contrat avec Lockheed Martin qui a renouvel\u00e9 le soutien en service de l'int\u00e9gration du syst\u00e8me de combat (CSI ISS) pour la classe Halifax. Le contrat garantit que le CMS 330 continuera d'\u00eatre utilis\u00e9 sur les fr\u00e9gates de la classe Halifax jusqu'en mars 2034, avec des p\u00e9riodes optionnelles suppl\u00e9mentaires d'un an jusqu'en 2047.<\/span><\/p>\n
