Enti\u00e8rement construit \u00e0 Vancouver par Seaspan ULC, le navire de la Garde c\u00f4ti\u00e8re canadienne (NGCC) Naalak Nappaaluk est appel\u00e9 \u00e0 devenir le plus grand navire scientifique sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9 de la GCC. Con\u00e7u pour soutenir la recherche oc\u00e9anographique \u00e0 long terme sur les c\u00f4tes atlantique et arctique, le navire est \u00e9quip\u00e9 d'une s\u00e9rie d'outils et de technologies sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s qui aideront \u00e0 r\u00e9pondre aux questions maritimes les plus pressantes du Canada.<\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\">Le Naalak Nappaaluk est destin\u00e9 \u00e0 remplacer le NGCC Hudson, qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 retir\u00e9 du service, et servira de principale plateforme scientifique oc\u00e9anographique sur la c\u00f4te est du Canada pendant les 30 prochaines ann\u00e9es et au-del\u00e0.<\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\">Il comprend notamment des laboratoires sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s, une salle d'\u00e9chantillonnage oc\u00e9anographique, une station d'observation des mammif\u00e8res marins et des syst\u00e8mes de surveillance avanc\u00e9s qui permettront aux scientifiques de recueillir des donn\u00e9es sur les \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes, des eaux c\u00f4ti\u00e8res peu profondes aux environnements oc\u00e9aniques profonds. Au-del\u00e0 de la recherche marine, le Naalak Nappaaluk est \u00e9galement \u00e9quip\u00e9 pour participer \u00e0 des op\u00e9rations de recherche et de sauvetage, d'intervention environnementale et \u00e0 d'autres op\u00e9rations urgentes.<\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Il est \u00e0 noter que le navire porte le nom de Naalak Nappaaluk, un ancien Inuit de Kangiqsujuaq, au Nunavik, dont le travail a contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 pr\u00e9server la langue et la culture inuites. Avant son d\u00e9c\u00e8s en 2010, Nappaaluk aimait \u00eatre en mer sur un bateau pour chasser le b\u00e9luga avec son unsay (harpon). Il \u00e9tait un leader, un chasseur, un p\u00eacheur, une sage-femme, un conteur, un enseignant et un d\u00e9fenseur de la r\u00e9colte. Il \u00e9tait \u00e9galement consultant, astronome, journaliste, navigateur et m\u00e9t\u00e9orologue.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00ab Il \u00e9tait simplement mon p\u00e8re \u00bb, d\u00e9clare Qiallak Nappaaluk, maire de Kangiqsujuaq et fils de Naalak Nappaaluk. \u00ab Tout le monde a un p\u00e8re.
