L\u2019Expo Sant\u00e9 est revenue \u00e0 la Base des Forces canadiennes Halifax cette ann\u00e9e avec une gamme \u00e9largie de fournisseurs de services de sant\u00e9, d\u2019exposants et de conf\u00e9renciers invit\u00e9s. Officiellement intitul\u00e9e Expo Sant\u00e9 2025 : Naviguer votre parcours de sant\u00e9, l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement visait \u00e0 aider les membres de l\u2019\u00c9quipe de la D\u00e9fense \u00e0 mieux comprendre l\u2019\u00e9ventail de ressources en mati\u00e8re de sant\u00e9 et de bien-\u00eatre qui leur sont offertes.<\/p>\n

Tenue le 6 novembre dans le hangar d\u2019exercice de l\u2019\u00c9cole de la flotte (Atlantique), l\u2019Expo Sant\u00e9 a \u00e9t\u00e9 organis\u00e9e par Promotion de la sant\u00e9 Halifax en partenariat avec le Centre des services de sant\u00e9 des Forces canadiennes (Atlantique) (C Svc S FC (A)).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Les visiteurs ont assist\u00e9 aux pr\u00e9sentations de six conf\u00e9renciers invit\u00e9s, qui ont abord\u00e9 un large \u00e9ventail de sujets li\u00e9s \u00e0 la sant\u00e9 personnelle, notamment le bien-\u00eatre mental, social, \u00e9motionnel, spirituel et physique.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

L\u2019approche holistique de la sant\u00e9 a \u00e9t\u00e9 un th\u00e8me central tout au long de la journ\u00e9e. Des affiches et des pr\u00e9sentations soulignant l\u2019importance de prendre soin de tous les aspects du bien-\u00eatre personnel \u00e9taient mises en \u00e9vidence.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Une clinique de vaccination contre la grippe et la COVID-19 \u00e9tait \u00e9galement offerte, permettant aux participants militaires et civils de recevoir leurs vaccins annuels de mani\u00e8re pratique, alors que la sant\u00e9 \u00e9tait d\u00e9j\u00e0 au c\u0153ur de leurs pr\u00e9occupations.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Les stands d\u2019exposition pr\u00e9sentaient une vari\u00e9t\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9quipes de service des Forces arm\u00e9es canadiennes (FAC) et de partenaires civils, y compris des d\u00e9partements du C Svc S FC (A), ainsi que des groupes tels que le Centre de ressources et de soutien en mati\u00e8re d\u2019inconduite sexuelle, le Programme d\u2019aide aux employ\u00e9s, le groupe du Chef \u2013 Conduite professionnelle et culture (CCPC), le Bureau de gestion des invalidit\u00e9s, le Centre de ressources pour les familles des militaires, et bien d\u2019autres encore.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

De nombreuses \u00e9quipes ont choisi de mettre en valeur les services cl\u00e9s qu\u2019elles offrent. La physioth\u00e9rapeute Jennifer Cantwell, qui a coordonn\u00e9 l\u2019exposition des Services de r\u00e9adaptation et de physioth\u00e9rapie du C Svc S FC (A), a mis l\u2019accent sur le soutien offert par son \u00e9quipe en cas de douleur au pied.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab Beaucoup de gens viennent nous voir en s\u2019inqui\u00e9tant de leurs pieds, pensant qu\u2019ils ont un probl\u00e8me. Je leur dis que tous les pieds sont de bons pieds et que s\u2019il y a un probl\u00e8me, nous avons beaucoup d\u2019excellents soutiens, semelles et autres produits pour les aider. \u00bb<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Cantwell a expliqu\u00e9 que la pr\u00e9valence \u00e9lev\u00e9e des douleurs aux pieds parmi les membres des FAC est la raison pour laquelle elle a apport\u00e9 une gamme de bottes et de semelles int\u00e9rieures \u00e0 exposer.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab La mise en \u00e9vidence de la douleur au pied fait partie de notre d\u00e9marche visant \u00e0 fournir de tr\u00e8s bons soins, mais nous avons \u00e9galement des programmes pour les personnes souffrant de lombalgie et de douleur chronique. Il s\u2019agit avant tout de faire passer le message. \u00bb<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Pour les exposants comme pour les organisateurs, l\u2019\u00e9ducation et l\u2019engagement \u00e9taient des objectifs cl\u00e9s.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Meghan Freeman, responsable de la Promotion de la sant\u00e9 au sein du Programme de soutien du personnel (PSP) Halifax, a indiqu\u00e9 que l\u2019\u00e9quipe esp\u00e9rait au d\u00e9part une participation de 200 \u00e0 300 personnes, mais que l\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat a rapidement d\u00e9pass\u00e9 les attentes.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab Nous avons proc\u00e9d\u00e9 \u00e0 une pr\u00e9inscription pour les pr\u00e9sentations afin d\u2019avoir une id\u00e9e du nombre de personnes qui viendraient, mais nous avons d\u00e9j\u00e0 d\u00e9pass\u00e9 nos attentes. Nous avons d\u00fb doubler le nombre de chaises, qui est pass\u00e9 de 20 \u00e0 40. C\u2019est formidable. \u00bb<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

L'organisation de l'expo a d\u00e9but\u00e9 en janvier et Freeman a constat\u00e9 que les organisateurs et les exposants se sont imm\u00e9diatement montr\u00e9s enthousiastes et pr\u00eats \u00e0 apporter leur aide.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
