Un nouveau groupe de membres des Forces arm\u00e9es canadiennes (FAC) est pr\u00eat \u00e0 assumer des r\u00f4les de leadership apr\u00e8s avoir suivi le programme de formation de base en leadership de la force.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Trente-six \u00e9tudiants ont obtenu leur dipl\u00f4me du cours de qualification \u00e9l\u00e9mentaire en leadership (QEL) 0520 lors d\u2019une c\u00e9r\u00e9monie tenue le 26 novembre \u00e0 Stadacona, dans le hangar d\u2019exercice de l\u2019\u00c9cole navale (Atlantique).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Le cours s\u2019est d\u00e9roul\u00e9 du 15 octobre au 20 novembre \u00e0 la BFC Halifax et comprenait une semaine d\u2019entra\u00eenement sur le terrain.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

La QEL est un \u00e9l\u00e9ment cl\u00e9 de la formation au leadership pour les membres non commissionn\u00e9s des FAC. Elle favorise le d\u00e9veloppement des comp\u00e9tences en leadership, soutient la progression vers le grade de ma\u00eetre marin\/ma\u00eetre caporal et ouvre la porte \u00e0 des postes de supervision.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab La QEL est le fondement qui vous servira tout au long de votre carri\u00e8re \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le Capitaine de vaisseau Gord Noseworthy, commandant adjoint de la Flotte canadienne de l\u2019Atlantique, qui agissait comme officier de r\u00e9vision lors de la c\u00e9r\u00e9monie.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Il a soulign\u00e9 que les leaders des FAC sont admir\u00e9s tant \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur qu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur de l\u2019organisation et qu\u2019ils doivent toujours montrer l\u2019exemple. Il a insist\u00e9 sur le fait que \u00ab le leadership est une question de service \u00bb et non d\u2019ambition personnelle.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Certaines des meilleures performances du cours 0520 ont \u00e9t\u00e9 reconnues lors de la c\u00e9r\u00e9monie. La Matelot de 1re classe (Mat 1) Kate Lavergne a re\u00e7u le prix du premier ma\u00eetre de la formation pour son int\u00e9grit\u00e9, son esprit d\u2019\u00e9quipe, son enthousiasme et sa coop\u00e9ration tout au long du programme.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

La Mat 1 Lavergne a indiqu\u00e9 qu\u2019elle avait appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 sa formation, particuli\u00e8rement la camaraderie avec ses coll\u00e8gues, et qu\u2019elle s\u2019\u00e9tait efforc\u00e9e \u00ab d\u2019aider tout le monde \u00bb d\u00e8s qu\u2019elle en avait l\u2019occasion. Cela signifiait notamment aider \u00e0 r\u00e9soudre des probl\u00e8mes techniques, obtenir des documents et soutenir ses camarades avec les devoirs.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab Je me suis assur\u00e9e que tout le monde avait ce dont il avait besoin. Il s\u2019agissait simplement de veiller sur chacun et de traiter tout le monde de mani\u00e8re \u00e9gale \u00bb, a-t-elle expliqu\u00e9.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Elle a ajout\u00e9 que le fait d\u2019\u00eatre choisie par ses pairs pour recevoir ce prix avait \u00e9t\u00e9 une surprise.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab Il semble que tous les participants au cours aient vraiment appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 mes efforts, sans que je me rende compte \u00e0 quel point. C\u2019est vraiment agr\u00e9able. \u00bb<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Anciennement rattach\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019occupation Steward, la Mat 1 Lavergne travaille maintenant \u00e0 rejoindre le Service de la logistique, et la r\u00e9ussite de la QEL la rapproche de cet objectif.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Les familles et amis ont assist\u00e9 \u00e0 la c\u00e9r\u00e9monie depuis les tribunes, tandis que les exercices de d\u00e9fil\u00e9 des dipl\u00f4m\u00e9s ajoutaient une touche d\u2019apparat. Par la suite, les invit\u00e9s ont \u00e9t\u00e9 convi\u00e9s \u00e0 descendre au niveau du hangar pour c\u00e9l\u00e9brer avec les nouveaux dipl\u00f4m\u00e9s et profiter d\u2019un d\u00e9jeuner servi par traiteur.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
