Cette capacit\u00e9 est une pratique courante lors des d\u00e9ploiements de l'arm\u00e9e, mais elle n'a \u00e9t\u00e9 introduite pour les op\u00e9rations navales qu'\u00e0 la fin de l'ann\u00e9e 2023. L'objectif est d'am\u00e9liorer consid\u00e9rablement la capacit\u00e9 d'un navire \u00e0 traiter les blessures graves lorsque les soins m\u00e9dicaux de haut niveau sont \u00e0 des heures, voire \u00e0 des jours de distance.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233117&quot;:true,&quot;134233118&quot;:true}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\">\u00ab Pour moi, la v\u00e9ritable histoire est que nous progressons vers l'am\u00e9lioration des soins pr\u00e9hospitaliers dans la MRC \u00bb, explique la capitaine de corvette Sabrina Dzafovic, m\u00e9decin militaire \u00e0 bord du NCSM St. John's. Il s'agit notamment d'une formation am\u00e9lior\u00e9e aux premiers secours pour tous les marins ( Premiers soins de combat maritime), de l'introduction prochaine d'une version maritime du programme de soins tactiques aux bless\u00e9s de combat, d'une meilleure formation des \u00e9quipes m\u00e9dicales avant le d\u00e9ploiement et de protocoles mis \u00e0 jour pour l'\u00e9vacuation des bless\u00e9s par voie a\u00e9rienne. L'ensemble de ces avanc\u00e9es vise \u00e0 \u00ab am\u00e9liorer notre capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 traiter les blessures aigu\u00ebs et les traumatismes \u00e0 bord du navire. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\">Les h\u00e9morragies massives restent la principale cause de d\u00e9c\u00e8s \u00e9vitable, tant au combat que lors de traumatismes majeurs. Si les liquides comme le s\u00e9rum physiologique peuvent restaurer le volume, ils ne peuvent pas favoriser la coagulation ou transporter l'oxyg\u00e8ne comme le fait le sang. \u00ab Rien n'est vraiment aussi efficace que le sang et les produits sanguins \u00bb, note la Capc Dzafovic .<\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\">Les d\u00e9ploiements navals pouvant durer six mois ou plus, la marine affine \u00e9galement sa cha\u00eene de r\u00e9approvisionnement globale. Au cours de la r\u00e9cente p\u00e9riode de repos et d'entretien (RAMP) du NCSM St. John en France, le navire a re\u00e7u avec succ\u00e8s une cargaison transport\u00e9e par avion depuis le Canada et r\u00e9cup\u00e9r\u00e9e \u00e0 l'a\u00e9roport de Nice C\u00f4te d'Azur. Les contr\u00f4leurs de temp\u00e9rature ont confirm\u00e9 que l'approvisionnement restait viable, prouvant ainsi la capacit\u00e9 de livraison aux op\u00e9rations en M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\">La Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 canadienne du sang (SCS) est un partenaire essentiel de cette capacit\u00e9. Cette derni\u00e8re est responsable de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9, de la collecte et du stockage de tout le sang et de tous les produits sanguins au Canada. Comme l'explique la Capc Dzafovic, \u00ab c'est elle qui contr\u00f4le la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 du sang et des produits sanguins au Canada, qui en assure la collecte et le stockage... Elle veille \u00e9galement \u00e0 ce que nous respections toutes les directives appropri\u00e9es. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\">La SCS travaille en \u00e9troite collaboration avec le bureau des services de sant\u00e9 \u00e0 Ottawa pour s'assurer que les normes de transport sont respect\u00e9es, pour guider la formation sur la base de la publication Bloody Easy sur la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 transfusionnelle et pour soutenir les d\u00e9veloppements futurs tels que le syst\u00e8me de don b\u00e9n\u00e9vole d'une \u00ab banque de sang ambulante \u00bb \u00e0 bord d'un navire.<\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\">La motivation qui sous-tend le programme est tourn\u00e9e vers l'avenir. \u00ab Nous envisageons une r\u00e9alit\u00e9 diff\u00e9rente des combats sur notre prochain th\u00e9\u00e2tre d'op\u00e9rations \u00bb, explique la Capc Dzafovic.
