Les Forces arm\u00e9es canadiennes (FAC) ont illustr\u00e9 en juillet leur capacit\u00e9 d\u2019apporter un soutien logistique dans l\u2019Indo-Pacifique par moyen d\u2019un r\u00e9armement avanc\u00e9 des missiles Harpoon d\u2019une fr\u00e9gate de la classe Halifax.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Le r\u00e9armement du NCSM Ville de Qu\u00e9bec s\u2019est d\u00e9roul\u00e9 pendant l\u2019exercice TALISMAN SABRE 2025, au cours d\u2019un exercice de tir r\u00e9el au large de l\u2019Australie, soit plus de 16 000 kilom\u00e8tres du port d\u2019attache du navire \u00e0 Halifax. De telles distances extr\u00eames cr\u00e9ent la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9tablir des capacit\u00e9s en mati\u00e8re de r\u00e9armement avanc\u00e9. C\u2019est particuli\u00e8rement vrai dans la r\u00e9gion indo-pacifique, o\u00f9 les FAC ne jouissent pas d\u2019un soutien logistique interarm\u00e9es \u00e9tendu, comme c\u2019est le cas dans la r\u00e9gion euro-atlantique avec l\u2019OTAN.<\/p>\n

En g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, les r\u00e9armements avanc\u00e9s sont ex\u00e9cut\u00e9s par le transport a\u00e9rien de munitions vers un lieu tiers aux fins d\u2019entreposage, en attendant l\u2019arriv\u00e9e d\u2019un navire. Historiquement, dans la r\u00e9gion indo-pacifique, les r\u00e9armements ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9s presque exclusivement \u00e0 Hawa\u00ef imm\u00e9diatement apr\u00e8s l\u2019exercice Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC). Cependant, compte tenu de l\u2019accent renouvel\u00e9 mis par le Canada sur la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et la libert\u00e9 de circulation \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle de l\u2019Indo-Pacifique, les op\u00e9rations de r\u00e9armement dans de nouveaux emplacements s\u2019av\u00e8rent n\u00e9cessaires.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

De telles op\u00e9rations illustrent la capacit\u00e9 des FAC de raccourcir les lignes de communication strat\u00e9giques et d\u2019apporter un soutien logistique efficace dans le cadre de missions \u00e9loign\u00e9es, surtout en ce qui concerne les marchandises hautement sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9es, comme des munitions.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Le r\u00e9armement a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9 par le Groupe de soutien en mat\u00e9riel du Canada de concert avec le Commandement des op\u00e9rations interarm\u00e9es du Canada et les forces arm\u00e9es australiennes (ADF). L\u2019op\u00e9ration a fait montre de l\u2019interop\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 des FAC avec l\u2019ADF, tout en renfor\u00e7ant leur engagement \u00e0 collaborer avec les alli\u00e9s dans la r\u00e9gion.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
