Le Navire canadien de Sa Majest\u00e9 (NCSM) Ville de Qu\u00e9bec a fait un retour tr\u00e8s attendu \u00e0 Halifax le 10 novembre. Le navire et son \u00e9quipage ont \u00e9t\u00e9 accueillis \u00e0 la maison apr\u00e8s une mission de grande envergure.<\/p>\n

Le d\u00e9ploiement a \u00e9t\u00e9 effectu\u00e9 principalement dans le cadre de l'op\u00e9ration HORIZON, qui vise \u00e0 soutenir les \u00e9l\u00e9ments de d\u00e9fense de la strat\u00e9gie indo-pacifique du Canada et \u00e0 renforcer la coop\u00e9ration avec les alli\u00e9s dans la r\u00e9gion. Pendant sept mois, l'\u00e9quipage du navire a men\u00e9 \u00e0 bien un programme diversifi\u00e9 qui s'\u00e9tendait sur diff\u00e9rentes r\u00e9gions et comprenait des travaux avec de nombreux alli\u00e9s. Le NCSM Ville de Qu\u00e9bec a travers\u00e9 l'Atlantique Nord, la M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e, la mer Rouge, l'Indo-Pacifique et l'Am\u00e9rique du Nord.<\/p>\n

Le Ville de Qu\u00e9bec est notamment devenu le premier navire de la Marine royale canadienne (MRC) \u00e0 s'int\u00e9grer pleinement \u00e0 un groupe de frappe de porte-avions dirig\u00e9 par le Royaume-Uni, dans le cadre de l'op\u00e9ration HIGHMAST, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le commandant du navire, le capitaine de fr\u00e9gate (Capf) Peter MacNeil.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Pendant notre participation au groupe a\u00e9ronaval d\u2019attaque 25, et tout au long du d\u00e9ploiement, l\u2019\u00e9quipage a fait preuve d\u2019un professionnalisme et d\u2019une capacit\u00e9 d\u2019adaptation remarquables. Leurs efforts ont permis non seulement de renforcer les liens diplomatiques du Canada dans la r\u00e9gion Indo-Pacifique, mais \u00e9galement de consolider notre r\u00e9putation de partenaire de confiance en mati\u00e8re de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 internationale. \u00bb\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

En plus de la composante Op HORIZON du d\u00e9ploiement, le Ville de Qu\u00e9bec a fourni un soutien aux partenaires de l'OTAN dans le cadre de l'Op REASSURANCE plus t\u00f4t ce printemps, et a \u00e9galement contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 l'Op AMARNA, la nouvelle mission du Canada ax\u00e9e sur la paix et la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 au Moyen-Orient, lors de son passage dans le canal de Suez, la mer Rouge et le d\u00e9troit de Bab-el-Mandeb. Au cours des sept mois, des exercices ont \u00e9t\u00e9 organis\u00e9s, notamment l'exercice MED STRIKE de l'OTAN au large de l'Italie et les exercices ALON et TALISMAN SABRE pr\u00e8s de l'Australie et des Philippines.<\/p>\n

Selon les dirigeants de la MRC, les missions de ce type ont permis de renforcer les liens avec les alli\u00e9s, les partenaires et les organisations internationales dans la r\u00e9gion indo-pacifique, tout en contribuant \u00e0 la pr\u00e9sence persistante des Forces arm\u00e9es canadiennes dans la r\u00e9gion.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
