L'\u00e9quipe de la logistique de la base (Log B) a connu une ann\u00e9e charg\u00e9e, consacr\u00e9e \u00e0 pr\u00e9parer l'avenir de la Marine royale canadienne (MRC) tout en fournissant un soutien essentiel aux op\u00e9rations au pays et \u00e0 l'\u00e9tranger.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Au milieu de cette effervescence, une nouvelle commandante prend la t\u00eate de l'\u00e9quipe Log B pour mener \u00e0 bien la prochaine phase des pr\u00e9paratifs en vue d'approvisionner la future flotte de destroyers de la classe Fleuves et rivi\u00e8res du Canada.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

La Capitaine de fr\u00e9gate (Capf) Audrey Rivera a \u00e9t\u00e9 nomm\u00e9e commandante de Log B lors d'une c\u00e9r\u00e9monie de passation de pouvoirs qui s'est d\u00e9roul\u00e9e le 22 ao\u00fbt au c\u0153ur des activit\u00e9s du d\u00e9partement, dans l'entrep\u00f4t de Log B \u00e0 l'arsenal canadien de Sa Majest\u00e9.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab La logistique n'est pas toujours visible, mais elle est indispensable. Sans votre travail inlassable, les navires ne navigueraient pas, les avions ne d\u00e9colleraient pas et nos forces ne perdureraient pas \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 la Capf Rivera \u00e0 son nouveau personnel lors d'un discours d'ouverture.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

La supervision du Log B \u00e0 la base des \nForces canadiennes (BFC) Halifax, l'une \ndes plus grandes bases militaires du \nCanada, est une t\u00e2che complexe. \nL\u2019\u00e9quipe du Log B supervise de \nnombreuses fonctions vi-tales qui permettent \u00e0 la base, aux Forces maritimes de l\u2019Atlantique et \u00e0 la Flotte de l\u2019Atlantique de rester op\u00e9rationnelles, notamment l\u2019entretien des navires, l\u2019administration des stocks et des approvisionnements.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

En plus de ses responsabilit\u00e9s quotidiennes, la Capf Rivera travaillera avec son \u00e9quipe pour pr\u00e9parer la transition de la MRC de sa flotte actuelle de fr\u00e9gates de classe Halifax aux futurs destroyers de la classe Fleuves et rivi\u00e8res.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Le Capf Lau a fait une mention sp\u00e9ciale des r\u00e9alisations de son \u00e9quipe dans la pr\u00e9paration de l'avenir.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Il a remerci\u00e9 le personnel de Log B pour son travail acharn\u00e9 et a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que les progr\u00e8s r\u00e9alis\u00e9s ensemble constituaient une base pour les succ\u00e8s futurs.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

La classe Fleuves et rivi\u00e8res devrait entrer en service au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 2030 et, bien qu'il reste encore beaucoup \u00e0 faire pour la pr\u00e9parer, la Capf Rivera a soulign\u00e9 que ces responsabilit\u00e9s ne d\u00e9tourneraient pas l'attention de l'engagement du Log B \u00e0 maintenir l'\u00e9tat de pr\u00e9paration actuel de la marine.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
