Les \u00e9quipes du CISM reprendront l'action ce mois-ci \u00e0 Halifax, o\u00f9 les \u00e9quipes masculine et f\u00e9minine affronteront leurs homologues du programme de soccer de la Royal Navy. Des \u00e9quipes de soccer masculines et f\u00e9minines compos\u00e9es des meilleurs athl\u00e8tes des Forces arm\u00e9es canadiennes (FAC) affronteront des joueurs de la Royal Navy (RN) du Royaume-Uni lors d'une s\u00e9rie de matchs amicaux ce mois-ci \u00e0 Halifax et \u00e0 Dartmouth.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
Il s'agit d'une rare occasion pour le Canada d'accueillir une \u00e9quipe militaire alli\u00e9e sur son territoire, et les organisateurs affirment que les matchs seront certainement un moment fort de l'\u00e9t\u00e9 pour tous ceux qui y participeront.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
Les \u00e9quipes masculine et f\u00e9minine de soccer du Conseil international du sport militaire (CISM) de la FAC affronteront les clubs du RN. Les \u00e9quipes sont compos\u00e9es d'athl\u00e8tes de haut niveau qui \u00e9voluent dans tout le pays et qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9es lors de tournois r\u00e9gionaux et nationaux de la FAC ou d'autres comp\u00e9titions de haut niveau.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Le Canada est un pays vaste, qui pr\u00e9sente des obstacles aux d\u00e9placements, contrairement \u00e0 de nombreux pays europ\u00e9ens. Malgr\u00e9 les limites, Freeland a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que des opportunit\u00e9s comme cette s\u00e9rie contre le RN sont un t\u00e9moignage du travail acharn\u00e9 des dirigeants du programme.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ahead of this month\u2019s friendlies, the CAF CISM soccer teams were in Ottawa for the Carleton University Ravens\u2019 annual indoor soccer tournament, with the men taking the championship trophy. The latter part of the season will see players focus on local play at this year\u2019s CAF Regional and National soccer championships. Though it\u2019s now a biannual event, Lt(N) Freeland said the CAF National tournament remains a good scouting ground for new CISM talent.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
