LE CPL MITCHELL PAQUETTE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Des marins de la Marine royale canadienne et d'autres membres des Forces arm\u00e9es canadiennes se sont joints \u00e0 la population locale dans le parc Point Pleasant, \u00e0 Halifax, le 4 mai dernier, afin de se souvenir et d'honorer ceux qui ont servi pendant la bataille de l'Atlantique, de 1939 \u00e0 1945. Plus de 4 000 Canadiens ont perdu la vie au cours de cette campagne, qui est reconnue comme un \u00e9l\u00e9ment crucial de la victoire des Alli\u00e9s pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale.<\/p>\n

2025 marque le 80e anniversaire de la fin de la bataille de l'Atlantique, qui est traditionnellement comm\u00e9mor\u00e9e le premier dimanche de mai. Le NCSM Sackville, derni\u00e8re corvette de la classe Flower de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, est visible dans les eaux au large du parc Point Pleasant lors de la c\u00e9r\u00e9monie de cette ann\u00e9e.<\/p>\n
