Le 20 janvier, la Mat 1 Jenna Muise, au centre, a re\u00e7u le prix du marin du trimestre de la Flotte canadienne de l'Atlantique. La Mat 1 Muise est ici en compagnie du commandant du NCSM Fredericton, le Capf Jonathan Maurice (\u00e0 droite), et du Capitaine d'armes, le PM 1 Brett Marchand (\u00e0 gauche).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Lors d\u2019une assembl\u00e9e de l\u2019\u00e9quipage du Navire canadien de Sa Majest\u00e9 (NCSM) Fredericton, la matelot de 1re\u202fclasse (mat\u202f1) Jenna Muise a \u00e9t\u00e9 f\u00e9licit\u00e9e pour avoir donn\u00e9 l\u2019exemple en mati\u00e8re de sens du service et de d\u00e9vouement, que ce soit en uniforme ou non, au moment o\u00f9 elle recevait le prix du marin du trimestre.<\/p>\n

La c\u00e9r\u00e9monie s\u2019est d\u00e9roul\u00e9e le 20\u202fjanvier \u00e0 bord du NCSM Scotian, o\u00f9 la Mat\u202f1 Muise et ses camarades de bord \u00e9taient r\u00e9unis pour un s\u00e9minaire d\u2019instruction.<\/p>\n

Le commandant de la Flotte canadienne de l\u2019Atlantique, le commodore (cmdre) Jacob French, a remis le prix du marin du quatri\u00e8me trimestre de 2024 \u00e0 la Mat\u202f1 Muise, en compagnie du commandant du Fredericton, le capitaine de fr\u00e9gate (capf) Jonathan Maurice.<\/p>\n

La Mat\u202f1 Muise a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9compens\u00e9e pour son travail de mentorat aupr\u00e8s des membres subalternes de l\u2019\u00e9quipage, pour son entra\u00eenement et son rendement qui d\u00e9passent son niveau de qualification, ainsi que pour sa contribution pendant son temps libre aux c\u00e9l\u00e9brations des f\u00eates de fin d\u2019ann\u00e9e du navire et \u00e0 la f\u00eate de No\u00ebl des enfants.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Il a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 constat\u00e9 que la Mat\u202f1 Muise assume de nombreuses t\u00e2ches secondaires, notamment celle de coordonnatrice du test FORCE et de repr\u00e9sentante du navire au Centre de ressources pour les familles des militaires d\u2019Halifax et r\u00e9gions.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

La Mat\u202f1 Muise agit comme ambassadrice pour son m\u00e9tier d\u2019op\u00e9ratrice de d\u00e9tecteurs \u00e9lectroniques (Marine) (OP DEM) en faisant visiter la salle des op\u00e9rations du Fredericton aux membres du programme Exp\u00e9rience de la Marine et en leur expliquant le r\u00f4le d\u2019une OP\u202fDEM \u00e0 bord d\u2019un navire et en mer.<\/p>\n

Quand elle n\u2019est pas \u00e0 bord du Fredericton, la Mat\u202f1 Muise fait du b\u00e9n\u00e9volat \u00e0 l\u2019\u00c9difice comm\u00e9moratif des anciens combattants Camp Hill, o\u00f9 elle aide le personnel et les v\u00e9t\u00e9rans \u00e0 accomplir leurs t\u00e2ches quotidiennes.<\/p>\n

Le Capf Maurice a lou\u00e9 la Mat\u202f1 Muise pour son leadership et son esprit d\u2019initiative.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab\u202fSa volont\u00e9 de donner de son temps et de soutenir ses camarades de bord, quelle que soit la t\u00e2che, a eu des r\u00e9percussions importantes sur l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 de notre unit\u00e9 en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral\u202f\u00bb, at-il affirm\u00e9.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab\u202fElle se distingue constamment de ses pairs par la qualit\u00e9 de son travail et des r\u00e9sultats qu\u2019elle obtient dans toutes les t\u00e2ches qui lui sont confi\u00e9es. Non seulement son souci du d\u00e9tail, son efficacit\u00e9 et sa d\u00e9brouillardise ont am\u00e9lior\u00e9 la productivit\u00e9 de l\u2019unit\u00e9, mais ils constituent un bon exemple \u00e0 suivre.\u202f\u00bb<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Le Cmdre French a \u00e9galement remerci\u00e9 la Mat\u202f1 Muise pour ses efforts qui d\u00e9passent largement les attentes li\u00e9es \u00e0 ses fonctions. Il a ajout\u00e9 que le formulaire de candidature qu\u2019il avait re\u00e7u montrait clairement que la Mat\u202f1 Muise \u00e9tait \u00ab exactement la bonne personne\u202f\u00bb pour le prix, et qu\u2019elle donnait l\u2019exemple \u00ab\u202fd\u2019un leadership et d\u2019un d\u00e9vouement hors du commun. \u00bb<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

La remise du prix a \u00e9t\u00e9 accueillie par un tonnerre d\u2019applaudissements de la part de l\u2019\u00e9quipage du Fredericton.<\/p>\n

La Mat\u202f1 Muise a pris la parole \u00e0 la fin de la c\u00e9r\u00e9monie. Elle a remerci\u00e9 ses camarades de bord pour l\u2019aide qu\u2019ils lui apportent dans tout ce qu\u2019elle entreprend.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
