Il y a un tr\u00e9sor \u00e0 trouver dans la biblioth\u00e8que militaire de Cambridge. Le b\u00e2timent historique situ\u00e9 dans le parc Royal Artillery a \u00e9t\u00e9 transform\u00e9 en une salle d'\u00e9vasion qui met au d\u00e9fi des \u00e9quipes d'amateurs de casse-t\u00eate de trouver un h\u00e9ritage cach\u00e9 dans un cr\u00e9neau horaire d'une heure.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

La salle d'\u00e9vasion est une collecte de fonds pour la Campagne de charit\u00e9 en milieu de travail de la D\u00e9fense nationale (CCMTDN) de la r\u00e9gion d'Halifax et de Shearwater de cette ann\u00e9e. La salle a ouvert le 12 novembre et fermera le 18 d\u00e9cembre.<\/p>\n

La salle d'\u00e9vasion de la CCMTDN pr\u00e9sente aux joueurs un format diff\u00e9rent du format habituel. Au lieu d'essayer de trouver la sortie du b\u00e2timent, les \u00e9quipes doivent s'enfoncer dans la biblioth\u00e8que et d\u00e9couvrir une fortune qui leur aurait \u00e9t\u00e9 l\u00e9gu\u00e9e par un membre de la famille r\u00e9cemment d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Dans le jeu, les \u00e9quipes doivent trouver des objets cach\u00e9s, r\u00e9soudre des \u00e9nigmes de chiffres et de logique et chercher des indices diss\u00e9min\u00e9s dans l'espace de jeu.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Les \u00e9quipes de huit personnes peuvent r\u00e9server un cr\u00e9neau horaire pour jouer dans la salle, moyennant un don de 20 dollars par personne. Les parties peuvent \u00eatre programm\u00e9es tout au long de la semaine et le week-end, et l'exp\u00e9rience est ouverte \u00e0 l'\u00c9quipe de la D\u00e9fense ainsi qu'aux membres du public.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

La salle et ses \u00e9nigmes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7ues par une petite \u00e9quipe de b\u00e9n\u00e9voles, dirig\u00e9e par Joseph Abando, coordonnateur des \u00e9v\u00e9nements et de la sensibilisation de la base des Forces canadiennes (BFC) Halifax. Ce dernier a organis\u00e9 plusieurs salles d'\u00e9vasion de la NDWCC, notamment des salles sur le th\u00e8me des vacances \u00e0 l'arsenal et une salle d'\u00e9vasion ax\u00e9e sur la marine au Mus\u00e9e naval d'Halifax.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Il a fallu environ un mois \u00e0 l'\u00e9quipe d'Abando pour planifier et mettre en place l'activit\u00e9, en accordant une attention particuli\u00e8re au lien entre l'histoire du jeu et le pass\u00e9 du b\u00e2timent.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab J'ai appris beaucoup d'histoire pour cette pi\u00e8ce \u00bb, d\u00e9clare Abando.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Les salle d'\u00e9vasion de la CCMTDN se sont av\u00e9r\u00e9es populaires et \u00ab efficaces pour collecter des fonds pour la cause \u00bb, d\u00e9clare Abando, ajoutant que la salle d'\u00e9vasion a permis de collecter plus de 8 500 dollars jusqu'\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent. Bien que la planification et la mise en place soient des t\u00e2ches ardues, Abando affirme qu'il aime animer les jeux.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Une \u00e9quipe du Centre des services de sant\u00e9 des Forces canadiennes (Atlantique) (C Svcs S FC (A)) s'est attaqu\u00e9e \u00e0 la salle le 3 d\u00e9cembre. Dirig\u00e9e par le commandant de l'unit\u00e9, le lieutenant-colonel (Lcol) Justin Keddy, l'\u00e9quipe \u00e9tait compos\u00e9e d'adeptes exp\u00e9riment\u00e9s des salles d'\u00e9vasion et de joueurs novices.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ils ont \u00e9t\u00e9 accompagn\u00e9s tout au long du jeu par Abando. Faisant office de ma\u00eetre du jeu, il a fourni des conseils et des indices occasionnels lorsque cela s'av\u00e9rait n\u00e9cessaire.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

L'\u00e9quipe du C Svcs S FC (A) s'est lanc\u00e9e le d\u00e9fi de terminer l'escape room le plus rapidement possible. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une communication claire et au travail d'\u00e9quipe, ils ont atteint un temps de 47 minutes.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Par la suite, le Lcol Keddy a fait l'\u00e9loge de l'exp\u00e9rience, la qualifiant de \u00ab bon moment \u00bb et de \u00ab bonnes \u00e9nigmes. \u00bb<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab C'est quelque chose que je chercherais \u00e0 refaire \u00bb, a ajout\u00e9 l'adjudant-chef Dave Finamore.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Abando a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que l'\u00e9quipe est d\u00e9j\u00e0 en train de planifier la prochaine salle d'\u00e9vasion caritative. Ils explorent \u00e9galement d'autres sites potentiels pour accueillir l'activit\u00e9 afin de garder les choses fra\u00eeches et excitantes pour les participants.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
