\u00a0<\/span>Une occasion d\u2019instruction unique s\u2019est pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e \u00e0 sept\u202fstagiaires du cours de Communicateur naval\u202f(COMM\u202fNAV)\u202f- Qualification de grade\u202f\u2013 Matelot de 2e\u202fclasse\u202f(QG-mat\u202f2) \u00e0 Halifax. L\u2019\u00c9cole navale\u202f(Atlantique) a test\u00e9 pour la premi\u00e8re fois cet \u00e9t\u00e9 une exp\u00e9rience d\u2019apprentissage pratique au d\u00e9but des \u00e9tudes de la s\u00e9quence d\u2019instruction de la formation COMM\u202fNAV. Traditionnellement, l\u2019instruction pratique n\u2019a lieu qu\u2019une fois que les stagiaires ont termin\u00e9 leur instruction initiale en COMM\u202fNAV et qu\u2019ils sont affect\u00e9s \u00e0 un navire. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>La qualification QG-mat\u202f2 COMM\u202fNAV est la premi\u00e8re \u00e9tape de l\u2019instruction dans les m\u00e9tiers de COMM\u202fNAV, une fois que le marin a termin\u00e9 sa Qualification militaire de base\u202f(QMB) et son Programme d\u2019instruction sur l\u2019environnement naval\u202f(PIEN). L\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 un navire \u00e0 un stade aussi pr\u00e9coce du programme de COMM\u202fNAV pour une instruction pratique est unique et compl\u00e8te les cours en salle de classe.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Les stagiaires sont mont\u00e9s \u00e0 bord du NCSM\u202fSt.\u202fJohn\u2019s le soir, alors que le navire \u00e9tait \u00e0 quai pour une s\u00e9rie de s\u00e9ances d\u2019instruction intensive pendant la derni\u00e8re semaine de ce cours de 12,5\u202fsemaines. L\u2019objectif est d\u2019approfondir les comp\u00e9tences pratiques des stagiaires le plus t\u00f4t possible en mettant \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9preuve la th\u00e9orie des communications par la voix et de donn\u00e9es, tout en maximisant les possibilit\u00e9s offertes par la flotte d\u2019am\u00e9liorer l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 de l\u2019instruction gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la pratique et \u00e0 la familiarisation.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Le matelot de troisi\u00e8me\u202fclasse\u202f(Mat\u202f3)\u202fKylie McKenzie, r\u00e9serviste du NCSM\u202fYork, a r\u00e9fl\u00e9chi \u00e0 la valeur de cette approche pratique et d\u00e9clar\u00e9\u202f: \u00ab\u202fIl \u00e9tait beaucoup plus facile de comprendre l\u2019\u00e9quipement lorsque nous pouvions physiquement faire les \u00e9tapes plut\u00f4t que d\u2019essayer de l\u2019imaginer apr\u00e8s avoir appris la th\u00e9orie.\u202f\u00bb<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>La d\u00e9cision de r\u00e9aliser l\u2019instruction le soir a \u00e9t\u00e9 prise pour \u00e9viter de perturber les activit\u00e9s quotidiennes de l\u2019\u00e9quipage du NCSM\u202fSt.\u202fJohn\u2019s et pour garantir la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des transmissions sur les fr\u00e9quences \u00e0 haute fr\u00e9quence\u202f(HF). Les s\u00e9ances ont \u00e9t\u00e9 soigneusement con\u00e7ues pour fournir aux stagiaires une exp\u00e9rience pratique de l\u2019installation, du d\u00e9pannage et du d\u00e9montage des syst\u00e8mes de communication de la voie et de donn\u00e9es. Chaque stagiaire a particip\u00e9 \u00e0 la mise en place de circuits voix\/donn\u00e9es \u00e0 ultra-haute fr\u00e9quence\u202f(UHF) et \u00e0 haute fr\u00e9quence\u202f(HF) et a \u00e9t\u00e9 confront\u00e9 \u00e0 divers sc\u00e9narios de d\u00e9pannage \u00e9tablis par leurs instructeurs. Un \u00e9l\u00e9ment notable de l\u2019instruction a \u00e9t\u00e9 la connexion au poste de communication navale d\u2019Halifax pour tester un circuit de donn\u00e9es de diffusion\u202fHF, un outil de communication essentiel lorsque les communications par satellite sont interrompues.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>\u00ab\u202fIl \u00e9tait encourageant de constater l\u2019engagement et le travail d\u2019\u00e9quipe croissants des stagiaires lorsque nous avons pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 les d\u00e9faillances du syst\u00e8me. Du premier au dernier jour, la progression de leurs comp\u00e9tences en mati\u00e8re de r\u00e9solution de probl\u00e8mes \u00e9tait \u00e9vidente, et leur confiance croissante envers l\u2019\u00e9quipement \u00e9tait remarquable\u202f\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le matelot-chef\u202f(Matc)\u202fChris Nash, instructeur QG-mat\u202f2 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00c9cole navale\u202f(Atlantique).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
