Le 27 septembre, le partageur de connaissances Tony Thomas a dirig\u00e9 une c\u00e9r\u00e9monie de purification par la fum\u00e9e ainsi qu'une prestation de tambours au quartier g\u00e9n\u00e9ral des Forces maritimes de l'Atlantique \u00e0 l'occasion de la Journ\u00e9e nationale de la v\u00e9rit\u00e9 et de la r\u00e9conciliation. Apr\u00e8s la c\u00e9r\u00e9monie, il a b\u00e9ni le patio ext\u00e9rieur du b\u00e2timent D201, qui peut d\u00e9sormais \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 comme zone d\u00e9sign\u00e9e pour toute personne souhaitant faire de la purification, en cas de besoin et \u00e0 tout moment. Cette c\u00e9r\u00e9monie fut possible gr\u00e2ce au Mi'kmaw Native Friendship Centre et au Groupe consultatif des Autochtones de la D\u00e9fense de l\u2019Atlantique (GCADA).\u00a0<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Des lev\u00e9es de drapeaux sp\u00e9ciales dans les sites de la Formation d'Halifax et sur les navires CSM ont \u00e9galement marqu\u00e9 la Journ\u00e9e nationale de la v\u00e9rit\u00e9 et de la r\u00e9conciliation, ainsi que le Jour anniversaire du trait\u00e9 et le d\u00e9but du Mois de l'histoire mi'kmaq en Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse. Le drapeau des survivants a \u00e9t\u00e9 hiss\u00e9 le 27 septembre, puis mis en berne le 30 septembre, la Journ\u00e9e nationale de la v\u00e9rit\u00e9 et de la r\u00e9conciliation. Le drapeau du Grand conseil des Mi'kmaq a \u00e9t\u00e9 hiss\u00e9 \u00e0 la BFC Halifax le 1er octobre, Jour anniversaire du trait\u00e9, la base reconnaissant \u00e9galement qu'elle se trouve au Mi'kma'ki, le territoire ancestral des Mi\u2019kmaq.<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
