Les Services de soutien du personnel (PSP) d'Halifax se sont associ\u00e9s \u00e0 Micah Brown de BATLX pour cette initiative. La soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de Micah Brown propose g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement une formation sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e aux jeunes athl\u00e8tes d\u00e9sireux d'am\u00e9liorer leurs comp\u00e9tences en football am\u00e9ricain en vue d'une carri\u00e8re post-secondaire ou professionnelle. Pour ces s\u00e9ances avec les membres des Forces arm\u00e9es canadiennes (FAC), les objectifs sont un peu diff\u00e9rents.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab Je ne m'inqui\u00e8te pas de l'\u00e2ge ou du niveau de comp\u00e9tence des participants. J'aime enseigner, et le football est ma fa\u00e7on de communiquer avec les autres. Je cherche \u00e0 leur montrer de nouvelles fa\u00e7ons de continuer \u00e0 apprendre et \u00e0 s'amuser avec le jeu \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Brown, qui est \u00e9galement directeur de l'analyse du football et entra\u00eeneur des receveurs \u00e0 l'universit\u00e9 Saint Mary's. Il est \u00e9galement un ancien joueur professionnel. Le groupe de la derni\u00e8re session, le 7 octobre, a pass\u00e9 plus d'une heure avec Brown, \u00e0 d\u00e9couvrir de nouvelles comp\u00e9tences et id\u00e9es, puis \u00e0 les mettre en pratique avec des exercices sur le terrain.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab Nous avons donn\u00e9 des instructions assez complexes sur le plan d\u00e9fensif, et ils ont pu les assimiler sans probl\u00e8me. Il y a beaucoup de choses qui peuvent se passer en peu de temps lorsque l'on travaille avec un petit groupe \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Brown.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Le flag football a une histoire \u00e0 la BFC Halifax. Les matchs annuels de la mini-Coupe Grey entre les officiers du carr\u00e9 et les Slackers du club de la Flotte se sont d\u00e9roul\u00e9s pendant des d\u00e9cennies, et la 50e \u00e9dition aura lieu en 2019. L'int\u00e9r\u00eat pour ce sport a diminu\u00e9 depuis lors - les s\u00e9ances d'entra\u00eenement avec BATLX sont une premi\u00e8re \u00e9tape dans l'identification de nouveaux joueurs et, esp\u00e9rons-le, dans la cr\u00e9ation de nouvelles \u00e9quipes dans la base. \u00c0 l'avenir, les matchs sur la base resteront fid\u00e8les aux r\u00e8gles du football sans plaquage, ce qui facilitera l'acc\u00e8s \u00e0 ce sport pour tous ceux qui souhaitent y jouer.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
