La matelot-chef (Matc) Morgan Olizarevitch, originaire de Thamesford (Ontario), a \u00e9t\u00e9 nomm\u00e9e matelot-chef de la formation des Forces maritimes de l'Atlantique (FMAR(A)) et pr\u00e9sidente pr\u00e9sidente du Mess Council (PMC) Fleet Club Atlantic<\/span><\/p>\n

La r\u00f4le du matc de la formation comporte deux responsabilit\u00e9s. La premi\u00e8re consiste \u00e0 favoriser les relations avec les hauts dirigeants des FMAR(A)et les militaires du rang (MR) subalternes, en agissant \u00e0 titre d'interm\u00e9diaire pour susciter le changement. \u00c0 ce titre, la Matc Olizarevitch est en contact fr\u00e9quent avec les cadres sup\u00e9rieurs des FMAR(A), de la Flotte canadienne de l'Atlantique et de la BFC Halifax, participe aux s\u00e9ances hebdomadaires de mise \u00e0 jour du commandement et aux r\u00e9unions, et assiste \u00e0 certains \u00e9v\u00e9nements en compagnie de l'amiral et du chef de la formation. Le deuxi\u00e8me volet, en tant que PCM, consiste \u00e0 organiser des mess pour les subalternes et \u00e0 se rendre accessible aux marins en visite \u00e0 bord des navires et des cours des NCSM.<\/span><\/p>\n

Olizarevitch consid\u00e8re sa nouvelle affectation en tant que matc de formation et PCM comme une occasion de d\u00e9fendre les int\u00e9r\u00eats des militaires du rang et de veiller \u00e0 ce qu'ils soient bien repr\u00e9sent\u00e9s et \u00e0 ce qu'ils puissent faire part de leurs pr\u00e9occupations et de leurs probl\u00e8mes directement au commandement sup\u00e9rieur de la formation. Les subalternes b\u00e9n\u00e9ficient \u00e9galement de la transmission des informations du commandement sup\u00e9rieur\/de la direction directement par le Matc de formation\/PCM.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab Un matelot-chef de formation est un \u00e9l\u00e9ment suppl\u00e9mentaire de l'\u00e9quipe du QG des FMAR(A). Je le d\u00e9cris souvent comme la voix du grade inf\u00e9rieur vers le haut et la voix de l'amiral vers le bas. J'ai un si\u00e8ge \u00e0 la grande table et je repr\u00e9sente les int\u00e9r\u00eats des officiers subalternes de la c\u00f4te est \u00bb, explique la Matc Olizarevitch. \u00ab Un matc de formation et PCM est \u00e9galement l\u00e0 pour soutenir les membres juniors dans leurs d\u00e9marches administratives, un peu comme un repr\u00e9sentant syndical, je peux apporter mon soutien lorsque le membre n'est pas \u00e0 l'aise pour se repr\u00e9senter pleinement. \u00bb<\/span><\/p>\n

Le premier ma\u00eetre de la formation des FMAR(A), le premier ma\u00eetre de 1re classe (Pm 1) Derek Godin, fait \u00e9cho \u00e0 ces sentiments : \u00ab Le r\u00f4le du matelot-chef de formation est extr\u00eamement important. Non seulement il repr\u00e9sente les besoins et la voix des jeunes marins de la formation, mais il peut aussi s'engager directement aupr\u00e8s des responsables de la formation et participer au processus de prise de d\u00e9cision. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Le Pm 1 Godin appr\u00e9cie ce poste et d\u00e9clare : \u00ab La matc de formation peut \u00e9galement approfondir les sujets de pr\u00e9occupation et communiquer avec nos marins \u00e0 un niveau qui serait difficile \u00e0 atteindre pour les cadres sup\u00e9rieurs. \u00bb<\/span><\/p>\n

Lorsque la politique n'est pas claire, le matc de formation peut obtenir des \u00e9claircissements au nom des subalternes et veiller \u00e0 ce que la politique soit correctement appliqu\u00e9e au profit de ceux qu'elle devrait aider. Par exemple, lorsque la formulation de la politique de promotion temporaire dans le cadre du programme \u00ab Grade int\u00e9rimaire pendant la dur\u00e9e de son affectation \u00bb (GIDA) n'\u00e9tait pas claire, le matc de formation a insist\u00e9 pour qu'elle soit clarifi\u00e9e et a r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 l'appliquer aux postes de matc.<\/p>\n

Deux semaines seulement apr\u00e8s son entr\u00e9e en fonction, la Matc Olizarevitch a cr\u00e9\u00e9 une vision pour l'avenir et esp\u00e8re avoir un impact positif sur le changement. \u00ab Les projets qui me passionnent actuellement sont d'accro\u00eetre la circulation de l'information et de renforcer les relations entre les hauts responsables et les jeunes, de continuer \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer l'\u00e9galit\u00e9 entre les hommes et les femmes \u00e0 bord des navires NCSM et d'aider les marins qui souhaitent passer du temps en mer \u00e0 trouver une occasion de le faire \u00bb, explique la Matc Olizarevitch.<\/span><\/p>\n

Olizarevitch a commenc\u00e9 sa carri\u00e8re au sein des Forces arm\u00e9es canadiennes alors qu'elle \u00e9tait \u00e0 l'\u00e9cole secondaire, o\u00f9 elle s'est enr\u00f4l\u00e9e dans l'unit\u00e9 locale de la R\u00e9serve navale, en tant que communicatrice navale, avec le Navire canadien de sa majest\u00e9 (NCSM) Prevost, en septembre 2015. Apr\u00e8s avoir compl\u00e9t\u00e9 sa formation professionnelle pr\u00e9liminaire et navigu\u00e9 sur le NCSM Montr\u00e9al, elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 transf\u00e9r\u00e9e \u00e0 la Force r\u00e9guli\u00e8re en 2018 avec une affectation au NCSM Fredericton. La m\u00eame ann\u00e9e, elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 affect\u00e9e au NCSM Moncton, o\u00f9 elle a particip\u00e9 au d\u00e9ploiement dans les Grands Lacs et \u00e0 l'op\u00e9ration Caribbe.<\/p>\n

En 2020, elle est d\u00e9ploy\u00e9e sur le NCSM Fredericton pour l'op\u00e9ration Reassurance, o\u00f9 elle est employ\u00e9e sur la passerelle en tant qu'officier sup\u00e9rieur de quart. \u00c0 son retour, elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 affect\u00e9e aux services d'information de la base (SIB) pendant deux ans en tant que soutien informatique avant d'\u00eatre affect\u00e9e au NCSM St. John's en tant qu'administratrice des syst\u00e8mes d'information.<\/p>\n
