Mais qu'en est-il de leurs familles ?\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Selon un rapport du Journaux de la sant\u00e9 des militaires, des v\u00e9t\u00e9rans et des familles, les familles des militaires canadiens ont tendance \u00e0 \u00eatre confront\u00e9es \u00e0 d'importants d\u00e9fis \u00e9motionnels et financiers. Parmi ces difficult\u00e9s, citons les d\u00e9m\u00e9nagements g\u00e9ographiques fr\u00e9quents, le temps pass\u00e9 loin de leurs proches et la possibilit\u00e9 qu'une carri\u00e8re militaire entra\u00eene des maladies, des blessures, voire la mort, ce qui aurait des r\u00e9percussions sur l'ensemble de la famille.<\/p>\n

Pour aider \u00e0 relever ces d\u00e9fis, et en reconnaissance de la Journ\u00e9e d'appr\u00e9ciation des familles militaires, le 20 septembre, RBC Fondation a fait un don de 200 000 $ pour soutenir les programmes de cinq centres de ressources pour les familles des militaires dans le Canada atlantique.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Ce financement de RBC Fondation nous permettra de reconstruire et de stabiliser notre service de garde d'enfants occasionnelle et de rel\u00e8ve \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Shelly Hopkins, directrice ex\u00e9cutive du Centre de ressources pour les familles des militaires d\u2019Halifax et r\u00e9gions. \u00ab Le financement couvre une grande partie des co\u00fbts associ\u00e9s \u00e0 la mise en \u0153uvre de ce service pr\u00e9ventif de grande qualit\u00e9, qui vise \u00e0 renforcer la r\u00e9silience des enfants et le bien-\u00eatre des parents et des tuteurs pendant les d\u00e9m\u00e9nagements, les absences et les transitions. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Le programme offre \u00e9galement aux jeunes enfants un espace s\u00fbr et accueillant o\u00f9 ils peuvent se rapprocher de leurs pairs en jouant et en vivant des exp\u00e9riences sociales.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Ma fille a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 fr\u00e9quenter la garderie occasionnelle peu apr\u00e8s que mon mari a \u00e9t\u00e9 lib\u00e9r\u00e9 pour des raisons m\u00e9dicales \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 un parent qui compte sur le centre de Halifax pour obtenir du soutien. \u00ab Nous sommes toujours tr\u00e8s \u00e0 l'aise lorsque nous \n\nlaissons notre fille avec eux. Elle peut jouer dehors, faire de l'artisanat et socialiser avec d'autres enfants. Le fait de pouvoir assister \u00e0 des rendez-vous ou de prendre du temps pour nous tout en sachant que notre fille est prise en charge nous a beaucoup aid\u00e9s \u00e0 faire la transition entre le service actif et la lib\u00e9ration pour raisons m\u00e9dicales. Nous recommandons les soins occasionnels \u00e0 tous les membres de la communaut\u00e9 des Forces arm\u00e9es canadiennes. \u00bb<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Le Centre de ressources pour les familles des militaires du Nouveau-Brunswick utilisera \u00e9galement sa part du don pour d\u00e9velopper ses services de garde d'enfants d'urgence et occasionnelle pour les familles.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
