La c\u00e9r\u00e9monie de passation des fonctions du 22e premier ma\u00eetre du Commandement a lieu le 11 juillet au Quartier g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de la D\u00e9fense nationale \u00e0 Carling, \u00e0 Ottawa.<\/p>\n

Le premier ma\u00eetre de premi\u00e8re classe (PM 1) Pascal Harel prend la rel\u00e8ve du PM 1 Thomas Lizotte.<\/p>\n

Le PM 1 Thomas Lizotte, originaire de Saint John, au Nouveau-Brunswick, commence sa carri\u00e8re navale en 1983 au sein du corps de cadets de la Marine royale canadienne Rodney, o\u00f9 il atteint le grade de chef de corps. Il s\u2019enr\u00f4le dans les Forces arm\u00e9es canadiennes en 1989 en tant que m\u00e9canicien de marine, et sert \u00e0 bord de nombreux navires CSM et dans diverses affectations \u00e0 terre.<\/p>\n

Ses d\u00e9ploiements importants incluent l\u2019application des sanctions de l\u2019ONU contre Ha\u00efti, le soutien du vol 111 de Swissair et la participation \u00e0 l\u2019op\u00e9ration Apollo apr\u00e8s les attentats du 11 septembre 2001. Thomas Lizotte est admis dans l\u2019Ordre du m\u00e9rite militaire en 2010 et occupe plusieurs postes sup\u00e9rieurs, ce qui aboutit \u00e0 celui de premier ma\u00eetre du Commandement de la Marine royale canadienne depuis juin 2022.<\/p>\n

Le PM 1 Pascal Harel, n\u00e9 \u00e0 Baie-Comeau, au Qu\u00e9bec, s\u2019enr\u00f4le dans la Marine en 1996 en tant qu\u2019\u00e9lectricien de marine. Il effectue sept d\u00e9ploiements et re\u00e7oit de multiples affectations, notamment en tant que premier capitaine d\u2019armes de la Force r\u00e9guli\u00e8re \u00e0 bord d\u2019un NDC sur la c\u00f4te Ouest et en tant que capitaine d\u2019armes du NCSM Winnipeg. Il est r\u00e9cemment nomm\u00e9 premier ma\u00eetre du Commandement de la Marine royale canadienne et est \u00e9tabli comme membre de l\u2019Ordre du m\u00e9rite militaire.<\/p>\n
