Par l\u2019\u00e9quipe du Trident<\/b><\/p>\n

Les Programmes de soutien du personnel (PSP) d'Halifax sont pr\u00eats pour l'\u00e9dition 2024 des Journ\u00e9es de la famille du MDN, un \u00e9v\u00e9nement annuel qui offre deux jours de plaisir, de nourriture et de prix \u00e0 l'arsenal CSM en guise de remerciement \u00e0 nos familles militaires. Alors que cette tradition c\u00e9l\u00e8bre sa 25e \u00e9dition les vendredi 21 et samedi 22 juin, certains de nos participants de longue date ont r\u00e9fl\u00e9chi \u00e0 l'importance de l'\u00e9v\u00e9nement au fil des ans.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pour Krista Alford, dont le mari sert dans la Marine royale canadienne (MRC), les Journ\u00e9es de la famille sont devenues une pierre angulaire du calendrier annuel de sa famille. Bien que la famille pr\u00e9f\u00e8re y assister ensemble, elle se souvient que la signification de l'\u00e9v\u00e9nement a fait mouche lorsque les horaires de navigation ne permettaient pas \u00e0 tout le monde de s'y rendre.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab C'est probablement l'une des choses que nous attendions avec le plus d'impatience lorsqu'il \u00e9tait d\u00e9ploy\u00e9. Ma fille et moi \u00e9tions \u00e0 la maison pendant qu'il naviguait \u00e0 travers le monde, et cela nous a permis de sentir que nous \u00e9tions \u00e9galement appr\u00e9ci\u00e9s \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Alford.<\/span><\/p>\n

Les Alford n'ont pas manqu\u00e9 les Journ\u00e9es de la famille du MDN depuis pr\u00e8s de 20 ans, et Krista affirme que cette journ\u00e9e est associ\u00e9e \u00e0 de nombreux souvenirs familiaux.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab Je me souviens d'Emily \u00e0 l'\u00e2ge de trois ou quatre ans, avec un gros autocollant de la marine sur sa chemise, traversant le parcours d'obstacles de l'arm\u00e9e et s'amusant comme une folle. Elle n'a jamais oubli\u00e9 cela \u00bb, a-t-elle d\u00e9clar\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\n

Missy Sonier, gestionnaire des services g\u00e9n\u00e9raux des PSP \u00e0 Halifax et organisatrice cl\u00e9 des Journ\u00e9es de la famille, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que les r\u00e9cits de familles comme celle des Alford ont permis \u00e0 l'organisation de se concentrer sur la tenue d'un grand \u00e9v\u00e9nement chaque ann\u00e9e, et ont incit\u00e9 les PSP \u00e0 ramener les Journ\u00e9es de la famille du MDN \u00e0 Halifax apr\u00e8s une interruption de trois ans dans le cadre de la COVID-19.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab Il a toujours \u00e9t\u00e9 question de redonner \u00e0 nos familles militaires. C'est la raison pour laquelle nous faisons cela et la raison pour laquelle notre personnel, nos b\u00e9n\u00e9voles et nos g\u00e9n\u00e9reux commanditaires sont si engag\u00e9s dans l'\u00e9v\u00e9nement. \u00bb\n\nCette ann\u00e9e, les Journ\u00e9es de la famille du MDN d\u00e9buteront le vendredi 21 juin, de 12 h \u00e0 17 h, \u00e0 la porte Rainbow de l'arsenal CSM. La deuxi\u00e8me journ\u00e9e se d\u00e9roulera le samedi de 10 h \u00e0 17 h.
