Le 36e Groupe-brigade du Canada a organis\u00e9 un salon de l'emploi sur le Halifax Common le 20 avril. Il s'agissait de l'une des nombreuses activit\u00e9s de recrutement de la R\u00e9serve de l'Arm\u00e9e de terre qui ont eu lieu dans la province et au pays tout au long du mois d'avril. Le personnel, l'\u00e9quipement, les v\u00e9hicules, les armes et l'artillerie de la R\u00e9serve de l'Arm\u00e9e canadienne \u00e9taient tous pr\u00e9sents au salon de l'emploi du 36e Groupe-brigade du Canada (36 GBC), qui s'est tenu le 20 avril sur le Halifax Common.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Tenue en face de l'historique man\u00e8ge militaire d'Halifax, la foire a encourag\u00e9 les personnes int\u00e9ress\u00e9es par les carri\u00e8res militaires et les passants \u00e0 en apprendre davantage sur les nombreux r\u00f4les et fonctions de la R\u00e9serve de l'Arm\u00e9e. Du personnel exp\u00e9riment\u00e9 de plusieurs unit\u00e9s de la 36e GBC \u00e9tait sur place pour r\u00e9pondre aux questions sur les m\u00e9tiers et les emplois disponibles et pour partager leurs exp\u00e9riences personnelles en tant que r\u00e9servistes.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Environ 500 personnes ont visit\u00e9 le salon tout au long de la journ\u00e9e, selon le capitaine (Capt) Jacob Killawee, qui faisait partie de l'\u00e9quipe de planification de l'\u00e9v\u00e9nement. Selon lui, les salons de l'emploi sont un excellent outil de recrutement, car ils donnent aux recrues potentielles l'occasion d'entrer en contact avec le personnel du 36e GBC et de se faire une id\u00e9e pr\u00e9cise de ce que peut \u00eatre la vie dans la R\u00e9serve de l'arm\u00e9e de terre.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab Il est tr\u00e8s important de permettre au public de savoir et de voir ce qu'est la R\u00e9serve et de d\u00e9mystifier un grand nombre de questions sur ce que signifie le service en tant que r\u00e9serviste. \u00bb<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Contrairement \u00e0 la Marine royale canadienne, dont la pr\u00e9sence dans la ville est tr\u00e8s visible, le Capt Killawee estime que l'Arm\u00e9e doit rappeler au public son travail \u00e0 Halifax et les possibilit\u00e9s de carri\u00e8re qu'elle peut offrir.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Des salons de la R\u00e9serve de l'Arm\u00e9e canadienne ont \u00e9t\u00e9 organis\u00e9s dans tout le Canada au mois d'avril. Le minist\u00e8re de la D\u00e9fense nationale insiste sur la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de recruter pour rem\u00e9dier \u00e0 la p\u00e9nurie de personnel dans les Forces arm\u00e9es canadiennes (FAC).\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab Le chef d'\u00e9tat-major de la D\u00e9fense nous dit que sa principale priorit\u00e9 est le recrutement et la conservation du personnel \u00bb, d\u00e9clare le Capt Killawee.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Les salons de l'emploi ne sont que l'un des nombreux efforts d\u00e9ploy\u00e9s pour augmenter les effectifs des FAC. Le Capt Killawee ajoute que la R\u00e9serve de l'Arm\u00e9e s'est engag\u00e9e \u00e0 montrer aux Canadiens les carri\u00e8res et les formations uniques qu'offre le service \u00e0 temps plein ou \u00e0 temps partiel.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
