Le capitaine de vaisseau Colin Matthews, commandant de la Force op\u00e9rationnelle multinationale (CTF) 150, a rencontr\u00e9 le contre-amiral Sofiayan et le contre-amiral Akmal de la Tentara Nasional Indonesia Angkatan Laut (TNI-AL) \u00e0 Jakarta, en Indon\u00e9sie, le 28 mars.Ils ont discut\u00e9 des objectifs communs des forces maritimes combin\u00e9es (FMC) et de la TNI-AL dans la lutte contre la contrebande de stup\u00e9fiants, d'armes et d'autres mati\u00e8res illicites dans la r\u00e9gion et dans la promotion de la s\u00fbret\u00e9 et de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des mers pour la navigation commerciale et le trafic maritime l\u00e9gitime.<\/span><\/p>\n

La zone d'op\u00e9rations de la FMC s'\u00e9tend sur plus de trois millions de milles nautiques carr\u00e9s. L'organisation affirme que son succ\u00e8s n\u00e9cessite une coordination \u00e9troite non seulement avec les pays contribuant \u00e0 la FMC, mais aussi avec les partenaires maritimes r\u00e9gionaux tels que l'Indon\u00e9sie. Le Canada a pris le commandement de la CTF 150 en janvier de cette ann\u00e9e - la rotation actuelle dure jusqu'en juillet.<\/span><\/p>\n
