Les c\u00e9l\u00e9brations du 100e anniversaire de l'Aviation royale canadienne (ARC) sont sur le point de prendre leur envol \u00e0 la 12e Escadre Shearwater, en commen\u00e7ant par un grand d\u00eener de gala qui aura lieu le 11 avril.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Les participants au gala peuvent s'attendre \u00e0 un cocktail suivi de discours, d'un d\u00eener et d'une soir\u00e9e dansante. La Musique Stadacona et les cornemuses et tambours de la 12e Escadre Shearwater seront sur place pour assurer une prestation musicale en direct. Le premier ministre et le lieutenant-gouverneur de la Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse devraient \u00eatre pr\u00e9sents.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

L'adjudant-chef Jason Dunfield, copr\u00e9sident du comit\u00e9 du 100e anniversaire de l'ARC de Shearwater, explique que le comit\u00e9 veut donner \u00e0 la soir\u00e9e un th\u00e8me propre \u00e0 l'ARC, et c'est pourquoi le gala aura lieu dans le hangar du 423e Escadron d'h\u00e9licopt\u00e8res maritimes. Comme le veut le cadre unique du gala, les invit\u00e9s pourront \u00e9galement se faire photographier avec les h\u00e9licopt\u00e8res CH-148 Cyclone du 423e Escadron.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Les billets co\u00fbtent 100 $ par personne,<\/span><\/a> avec la possibilit\u00e9 d'acheter un forfait de vin comm\u00e9moratif de 55 $ qui comprend des bouteilles personnalis\u00e9es de vins rouges et blancs du centenaire de l'ARC produits par les vignobles Lightfoot et Wolfville dans la vall\u00e9e de l'Annapolis. La vente des billets est ouverte au public et les militaires sont encourag\u00e9s \u00e0 amener leurs amis et leur famille. <\/span> <\/span> <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

L'Adjuc Dunfield affirme que, d\u00e8s le d\u00e9part, le comit\u00e9 de l'anniversaire a cherch\u00e9 \u00e0 rendre les \u00e9v\u00e9nements du centenaire de cette ann\u00e9e aussi m\u00e9morables que possible.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab Lorsque nous avons mis sur pied ce comit\u00e9, nous nous sommes demand\u00e9 comment faire. C'est le centenaire, il faut faire les choses en grand. \u00bb<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>Et dans cet esprit, le gala n'est que le premier des nombreux \u00e9v\u00e9nements locaux organis\u00e9s pour c\u00e9l\u00e9brer le centenaire de l'ARC au cours des prochains mois. Le prochain aura lieu le 10 mai, lorsque Shearwater organisera sa <\/span>course satellite de l'ARC <\/span><\/a>- une course amusante de 5 km et 10 km qui verra les participants courir le long de l'a\u00e9rodrome de Shearwater. Les membres du public sont \u00e9galement invit\u00e9s \u00e0 s'inscrire \u00e0 la course. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Le 8 juin, l'escadre s'associe \u00e0 l'\u00e9quipe de football HFX Wanderers FC pour le match d'appr\u00e9ciation du MDN de cette ann\u00e9e, au cours duquel les Wanderers porteront des maillots sp\u00e9ciaux sur le th\u00e8me de l'ARC. Le 12 juin, un tournoi de golf du centenaire de l'ARC se tiendra au Hartlen Point Golf Club.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

La 12e Escadre participera \u00e9galement au Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo du 28 juin au 1er juillet. Le th\u00e8me de cette ann\u00e9e, \u00ab Horizons \u00bb, est ax\u00e9 sur le centenaire, ce qui signifie que le spectacle comprendra des \u00e9l\u00e9ments sp\u00e9ciaux de la Force a\u00e9rienne en plus du Corps de cornemuses et de tambours de la 12e Escadre Shearwater et d'une garde d'honneur de la 12e Escadre.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
