La ville de Windsor a accueilli les membres de l'\u00e9quipage du Windsor du 15 au 18 mars.<\/p>\n

Le commandant, le capitaine de corvette Harrison Nguyen-Huynh, et trois autres membres de l'\u00e9quipage du Navire canadien de Sa Majest\u00e9 (NCSM) Windsor ont particip\u00e9 \u00e0 la visite de la ville \u00e9ponyme du sous-marin, dans le sud-ouest de l'Ontario.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Cette visite de la ville \u00e9ponyme \u00e9tait un moyen de tendre la main aux dirigeants de la communaut\u00e9 locale pour les remercier de leur soutien continu au cours des 20 derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le Capc Nguyen-Huynh dans un communiqu\u00e9 de presse.<\/span><\/p>\n

Au cours du week-end, l'\u00e9quipe a rencontr\u00e9 la marraine du bateau, Mme Anne Winterbottom, ainsi que le maire de Windsor, Drew Dilkens. L'\u00e9quipe s'est \u00e9galement recueillie devant des monuments comm\u00e9moratifs de la marine et sur la tombe du contre-amiral Walter Hose.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab Notre relation avec la ville de Windsor est importante pour tous les membres de l'\u00e9quipage du sous-marin et pour tous les sous-mariniers, anciens et actuels \u00bb, a ajout\u00e9 le Capc Nguyen-Huynh.<\/span><\/p>\n

Le commandant \u00e9tait accompagn\u00e9 du capitaine d'armes du NCSM Windsor, le Premier ma\u00eetre de 2e classe George Smith, de l'officier sonar, le Lieutenant de vaisseau Bradley Virgin, et de l'op\u00e9rateur sonar, le Matelot de 1re classe Brandon Trask.<\/p>\n

L'\u00e9quipe a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 accueillie par la division de la R\u00e9serve navale NCSM Hunter pendant son s\u00e9jour \u00e0 Windsor. Le commandant du Hunter, le capitaine de fr\u00e9gate Richard Hillier, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 qu'il \u00e9tait heureux d'accueillir ses coll\u00e8gues de la marine et de contribuer \u00e0 faire conna\u00eetre l'importance de sa ville au sein de la communaut\u00e9 navale.<\/p>\n
