L'\u00e9quipe masculine de hockey des Mariners de la BFC Halifax vise l'or au Championnat national de hockey masculin des Forces arm\u00e9es canadiennes (FAC) de 2024, qui d\u00e9butera le 4 mars.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Le tournoi de cette ann\u00e9e se d\u00e9roule \u00e0 la BFC Shilo, au Manitoba. Halifax repr\u00e9sentera la r\u00e9gion de l'Atlantique dans ce tournoi \u00e0 quatre \u00e9quipes. Ils affronteront des \u00e9quipes repr\u00e9sentant les r\u00e9gions de l'Ontario, du Qu\u00e9bec et du Canada-Ouest.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Halifax s'est pr\u00e9par\u00e9e pour le tournoi en mettant l'accent sur la r\u00e9cup\u00e9ration de sa victoire laborieuse au championnat de la r\u00e9gion de l'Atlantique.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab Les championnats r\u00e9gionaux ont \u00e9t\u00e9 une semaine tr\u00e8s dure et tr\u00e8s longue pour notre \u00e9quipe, alors nous avons pu prendre un peu de temps pour permettre \u00e0 certains joueurs de se reposer et de se remettre de quelques blessures mineures \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 l'entra\u00eeneur de l'\u00e9quipe, le Ma\u00eetre de 1re classe (M 1) Curtis Chambers.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

L'\u00e9quipe d'Halifax b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie du soutien de deux joueurs de l'\u00e9quipe de Shearwater. Les joueurs se sont entra\u00een\u00e9s avec Halifax avant le championnat afin de se familiariser avec les joueurs et les syst\u00e8mes des Mariner.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Halifax s'appuiera sur sa vitesse et ses comp\u00e9tences pour participer au tournoi de cette ann\u00e9e, d\u00e9clare le M 1 Chambers. Il ajoute que la pers\u00e9v\u00e9rance de l'\u00e9quipe est un atout important et que sa victoire aux championnats r\u00e9gionaux, qui a comport\u00e9 des prolongations et des remont\u00e9es, a donn\u00e9 \u00e0 l'\u00e9quipe la confiance n\u00e9cessaire pour jouer dans des matchs tr\u00e8s stressants.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Il s'agit du premier championnat national pour de nombreux joueurs de Halifax, mais l'\u00e9quipe dispose d'un noyau de v\u00e9t\u00e9rans qui s'efforcera de guider les plus jeunes. Le matelot de 1re classe (Mat 1) Triston Manson est l'un des attaquants de l'\u00e9quipe et l'un de ses leaders v\u00e9t\u00e9rans. Il explique que Halifax a d\u00fb gagner trois parties cons\u00e9cutives pour remporter le tournoi r\u00e9gional apr\u00e8s avoir pris du retard au classement, et qu'ils s'efforcent donc d'\u00eatre mieux pr\u00e9par\u00e9s pour les championnats nationaux.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab Nous nous sommes entra\u00een\u00e9s deux fois par semaine pour \u00eatre pr\u00eats \u00e0 partir, afin de commencer et de terminer le tournoi en force. \u00bb<\/span><\/p>\n

Le M 1 Chambers et le Mat 1 Manson ont h\u00e2te de jouer contre Valcartier, le repr\u00e9sentant du Qu\u00e9bec.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab J'ai particip\u00e9 cinq fois aux championnats nationaux et chaque fois le Qu\u00e9bec a remport\u00e9 l'or, alors j'ai h\u00e2te de jouer contre Valcartier. C'est habituellement une bonne \u00e9quipe, alors ce serait bien de la battre \u00bb, dit le Mat 1 Manson.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

La derni\u00e8re s\u00e9ance d'entra\u00eenement de l'\u00e9quipe avant les championnats nationaux a eu lieu le vendredi 1er mars au Forum d'Halifax. Le tournoi de Shilo d\u00e9butera quelques jours plus tard, le lundi 4 mars, et le match pour la m\u00e9daille d'or aura lieu le vendredi 8 mars.<\/span><\/p>\n

Le M 1 Chambers affirme que le championnat national est une occasion sp\u00e9ciale pour les joueurs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
