Les membres de la BFC Halifax disposent maintenant d'un nouveau centre de conditionnement physique enti\u00e8rement \u00e9quip\u00e9. L'ouverture du centre de conditionnement physique et de sports Stadacona a eu lieu le 8 janvier.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>Located next to the site that previously housed the STADPLEX gym, the fully winterized fabric structure includes cardio machines and weight equipment, a semi-enclosed gym floor for basketball, floor hockey, volleyball and other activities, along with gym amenities like day lockers, universal washrooms and private shower stalls.<\/span><\/p>\n

Situ\u00e9e \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 du site qui abritait auparavant le gymnase STADPLEX, la structure en tissu enti\u00e8rement hiv\u00e9ris\u00e9e comprend des machines cardio et de l'\u00e9quipement de musculation, un plancher de gymnase semi-ferm\u00e9 pour le basket-ball, le hockey en salle, le volley-ball et d'autres activit\u00e9s, ainsi que des commodit\u00e9s de gymnastique comme des casiers de jour, des toilettes universelles et des cabines de douche priv\u00e9es.\n\nAshley Stewart, gestionnaire du conditionnement physique, des sports et des loisirs de la BFC Halifax, a accueilli les membres de la base pour marquer l'occasion avec du caf\u00e9 et du g\u00e2teau, et a remerci\u00e9 l'\u00e9quipe des PSP d'Halifax pour le travail qu'elle a accompli au cours des derniers mois afin de pr\u00e9parer l'espace.<\/span><\/p>\n

Elle a \u00e9galement remerci\u00e9 Construction de D\u00e9fense Canada, l'Unit\u00e9 des op\u00e9rations immobili\u00e8res (Atlantique) et les autres personnes qui ont jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le dans la r\u00e9alisation du projet.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab La route a \u00e9t\u00e9 longue pour notre personnel et pour la base ; nous sommes tr\u00e8s enthousiastes \u00e0 l'id\u00e9e d'inaugurer les nouvelles installations. \u00bb<\/span><\/p>\n

Le commandant de la base de la BFC Halifax, le Capitaine de vaisseau Andy MacKenzie, a officiellement inaugur\u00e9 le b\u00e2timent en coupant le ruban, quelques instants avant que les premiers clients n'utilisent les tapis roulants et que la premi\u00e8re partie de hockey en salle ne commence sur le plancher du gymnase.<\/span><\/p>\n

Il a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 qu'il \u00e9tait heureux de voir que les membres qui travaillent \u00e0 Stadacona ont maintenant plus d'opportunit\u00e9s de remise en forme \u00e0 leur disposition plus pr\u00e8s du bureau, ramenant certains des avantages qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 perdus avec la fermeture de l'ancien gymnase STADPLEX ; STADPLEX a \u00e9t\u00e9 ouvert pendant 75 ans avant sa fermeture en 2018.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab J'esp\u00e8re que tout le monde pourra faire passer le message \u00e0 ses coll\u00e8gues et \u00e0 ses unit\u00e9s que nous avons une excellente installation pr\u00eate \u00e0 fonctionner. Nous avons h\u00e2te de voir beaucoup de gens entrer et sortir des portes ici. \u00bb<\/span>Le Centre de conditionnement physique et de sports de Stadacona est d\u00e9sormais ouvert sept jours sur sept, du lundi au vendredi de 6 heures \u00e0 21 heures, et le samedi et le dimanche de 9 heures \u00e0 17 heures.
