Les r\u00e9servistes navals du NCSM Scotian ont r\u00e9cemment pris part \u00e0 une tradition navale bien ancr\u00e9e, le d\u00eener de No\u00ebl des Mains. Les membres de la division se r\u00e9unissent pour souligner la fin de l'ann\u00e9e et la saison des f\u00eates en mangeant, en \u00e9coutant de la musique et en compagnie de leurs camarades de bord. Le d\u00eener de la Mains donne g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement lieu \u00e0 des \u00e9changes amusants, le plus jeune membre de l'unit\u00e9 devenant le commandant honoraire pour la journ\u00e9e, avec l'autorit\u00e9 de donner des ordres d'une mani\u00e8re amusante, tandis que le plus \u00e2g\u00e9 des jeunes marins\/priv\u00e9s\/caporaux de l'unit\u00e9 \u00e9change sa place avec le capitaine d'armes. Les officiers et les sous-officiers sup\u00e9rieurs se sont \u00e9galement lev\u00e9s pour servir \u00e0 manger et \u00e0 boire \u00e0 leurs homologues plus jeunes, une autre tradition et un remerciement pour leur travail acharn\u00e9 tout au long de l'ann\u00e9e. L'origine de cette coutume remonterait \u00e0 l'ancienne f\u00eate romaine des Saturnales, au cours de laquelle les travailleurs et les enfants \u00e9taient servis pendant les repas, ce qui a donn\u00e9 lieu \u00e0 une inversion symbolique des r\u00f4les.<\/span><\/p>\n
