Les b\u00e9n\u00e9voles des PSP et du CRFM H&R ont consacr\u00e9 6 430 heures en 2023 et ont \u00e9t\u00e9 remerci\u00e9s lors de la soir\u00e9e de reconnaissance des b\u00e9n\u00e9voles de CANEX. SOUMIS<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

De la musique de piano entra\u00eenante et jazzy, entrem\u00eal\u00e9e du murmure d'une centaine d'amis, d'invit\u00e9s\net, bien s\u00fbr, d'honorables b\u00e9n\u00e9voles - voil\u00e0 ce qu'on entendait lors de la soir\u00e9e d'appr\u00e9ciation des\nb\u00e9n\u00e9voles de CANEX. Les b\u00e9n\u00e9voles des PSP et du CRFM H&R ont eu droit \u00e0 du g\u00e2teau au fromage et \u00e0\nune merveilleuse repr\u00e9sentation de Cendrillon au th\u00e9\u00e2tre Neptune, remplie de succ\u00e8s pop et de rires\ngras.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lorsqu'on dit que les vacances sont une p\u00e9riode de joie, c'est sans doute ce qu'on entend par l\u00e0 :\ncamaraderie, solidarit\u00e9 et esprit de g\u00e9n\u00e9rosit\u00e9. Pour illustrer ce point, la bo\u00eete de collecte de chaussettes\n\u00ab Spare a Pair \u00bb de l'ancien combattant des FAC Darrell Ling \u00e9tait affich\u00e9e dans un coin de la salle\nd'activit\u00e9. Il s'agit d'une initiative visant \u00e0 fournir des chaussettes chaudes aux mal-log\u00e9s d'Halifax cet\nhiver. Dix minutes apr\u00e8s l'ouverture des portes \u00e0 nos b\u00e9n\u00e9voles, la bo\u00eete \u00e9tait pleine, et les cinq minutes\nsuivantes ont vu les chaussettes commencer \u00e0 s'empiler autour d'elle. Comme l'a dit Shelley Hopkins,\ndirectrice ex\u00e9cutive du Centre de ressources des familles militaires d\u2019Halifax et r\u00e9gions : Vous vous\nmontrez tous tr\u00e8s g\u00e9n\u00e9reux, que la demande soit petite ou grande.<\/span><\/p>\n

C'est vrai. Quelle que soit la demande, nos b\u00e9n\u00e9voles r\u00e9pondent pr\u00e9sents. En fait, ils ont donn\u00e9 6 430\nheures de leur temps l'ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re. Au salaire minimum, cela \u00e9quivaut \u00e0 un don de 94 842 dollars !\nMike Almond, directeur principal des PSP, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 : \u00ab Je sais que c'est un clich\u00e9, mais c'est vrai, sans\nnos b\u00e9n\u00e9voles, nos programmes de base n'existeraient tout simplement pas. \u00bb<\/span><\/p>\n

Mais ce n'est pas seulement le temps donn\u00e9 qui rend le travail de nos b\u00e9n\u00e9voles si sp\u00e9cial, comme l'a dit\nShelley Hopkins : \u00ab Les b\u00e9n\u00e9voles n'ont pas le temps, ils ont le c\u0153ur. \u00bb C'est l'esprit et le d\u00e9vouement\nque nos volontaires mettent dans tout ce qu'ils font qui le rendent si sp\u00e9cial.<\/span><\/p>\n

L'avenir de notre b\u00e9n\u00e9volat est \u00e9galement en pleine forme, puisque Jack Burton, jeune b\u00e9n\u00e9vole de\nl'ann\u00e9e, a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 mis \u00e0 l'honneur lors de l'\u00e9v\u00e9nement. Voici un extrait de sa nomination : \u00ab Jack\nest un excellent exemple de ce que les jeunes peuvent faire pour leur communaut\u00e9. Il travaille avec\ndiligence pour s'assurer que le centre de jeunesse Henderson Sweetman offre des programmes\nad\u00e9quats et int\u00e9ressants, tout en encourageant les jeunes de son \u00e2ge \u00e0 s'impliquer.<\/span><\/p>\n
