Le matin du 27 novembre, le Sgt (ret) Rob Sneath \u00e9tait \u00e0 l'honneur \u00e0 la 12e Escadre\nShearwater, alors qu'un groupe s'est r\u00e9uni pour se souvenir de son h\u00e9ritage, tant en uniforme\nqu'\u00e0 l'ext\u00e9rieur, et sur la glace comme \u00e0 l'ext\u00e9rieur.<\/span><\/p>\n

Membre du Temple de la renomm\u00e9e des sports des Forces arm\u00e9es canadiennes, Sneath est\nreconnu comme l'un des meilleurs joueurs de hockey \u00e0 avoir jamais port\u00e9 l'uniforme des FAC.\nCeux qui l'ont connu et travaill\u00e9 avec lui se souviennent \u00e9galement d'un grand ami et coll\u00e8gue,\net d'un membre irrempla\u00e7able des communaut\u00e9s locales de la d\u00e9fense et du sport. Rob est\nd\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 en 2017 apr\u00e8s une bataille contre un m\u00e9lanome.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jason Price, gestionnaire du conditionnement physique, des sports et des loisirs de Shearwater\net ami et coll\u00e8gue de longue date de Rob, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que les \u00e9quipes de Shearwater et de la\nBFC Halifax souhaitaient vivement organiser un \u00e9v\u00e9nement en sa m\u00e9moire, et qu'elles ne\npouvaient trouver un meilleur endroit que l'ar\u00e9na de Shearwater, o\u00f9 il a pass\u00e9 tant de temps sur\nla glace pendant et apr\u00e8s sa carri\u00e8re de 22 ans au sein des FAC.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab C'\u00e9tait une fa\u00e7on pour nous de nous souvenir de Rob et d'honorer sa m\u00e9moire ici - nous\nallons continuer \u00e0 le faire et rendre l'\u00e9v\u00e9nement encore plus sp\u00e9cial l'ann\u00e9e prochaine. \u00bb<\/span>

\n<\/span>Parmi la famille, les amis, les co\u00e9quipiers et les coll\u00e8gues de Rob \u00e0 la patinoire se trouvaient\ndeux de ses enfants, Robbie et Carlee Sneath, aujourd'hui \u00e2g\u00e9s respectivement de 21 et 18\nans. Reprenant l'une des vieilles habitudes de son p\u00e8re, Robbie s'est habill\u00e9 et a particip\u00e9 \u00e0\ntous les matchs du tournoi de la matin\u00e9e, passant d'une \u00e9quipe \u00e0 l'autre. Carlee a \u00e9galement\nre\u00e7u un maillot de hockey sp\u00e9cial n\u00b0 27 de l'Aviation royale canadienne au cours de la\nc\u00e9r\u00e9monie de cl\u00f4ture de la journ\u00e9e.<\/span><\/p>\n

Le jeu \u00e9tait comp\u00e9titif, mais amical, et les \u00e9quipes ont d\u00e9cid\u00e9 d'arr\u00eater le match final \u00e0 1-1, en\ngardant l'accent sur le souvenir de Rob.<\/span><\/p>\n
