Des chasseurs de mines du 1er groupe permanent de lutte contre les mines de l'OTAN (SNMCMG1) ont particip\u00e9 \u00e0 l'exercice Sandy Coast en mer du Nord entre le 21 ao\u00fbt et le 1er septembre.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Reconnaissant l'importance de la sauvegarde des zones c\u00f4ti\u00e8res, l'exercice Sandy Coast s'est impos\u00e9 comme un terrain d'entra\u00eenement essentiel pour affiner les comp\u00e9tences n\u00e9cessaires \u00e0 la protection et \u00e0 la s\u00e9curisation de ces r\u00e9gions vuln\u00e9rables.<\/span><\/p>\n

Exercice annuel, Sandy Coast 2023 a \u00e9t\u00e9 men\u00e9 par la Marine royale n\u00e9erlandaise et s'est fortement concentr\u00e9 sur la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 c\u00f4ti\u00e8re et les activit\u00e9s de lutte contre les mines, en particulier dans les eaux tr\u00e8s peu profondes. Dans le cadre de leur d\u00e9ploiement continu de l'op\u00e9ration Reassurance avec le SNMCMG1, les navires canadiens de Sa Majest\u00e9 (NCSM) Summerside et Shawinigan ont \u00e9galement particip\u00e9 avec fiert\u00e9 \u00e0 l'exercice, dans le cadre de la contribution du Canada \u00e0 l'OTAN et \u00e0 la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 maritime dans l'Atlantique.<\/p>\n

\u00ab L'exercice Sandy Coast 23 nous a offert de nombreuses possibilit\u00e9s et nous a permis de relever de nombreux d\u00e9fis \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le commandant de la Force op\u00e9rationnelle maritime canadienne et commandant du NCSM Summerside, le Capitaine de corvette Richard Crowder. \u00ab Nous avons collabor\u00e9 avec nos alli\u00e9s dans le cadre d'activit\u00e9s de lutte contre les mines, et chaque marine a une fa\u00e7on unique d'ex\u00e9cuter la chasse aux mines et le d\u00e9minage. Nous en sommes sortis plus forts et avec une meilleure compr\u00e9hension de la fa\u00e7on dont chacun op\u00e8re. \u00bb<\/p>\n

L'exercice a d\u00e9but\u00e9 dans le port n\u00e9erlandais de Delfzijl, d'o\u00f9 les navires ont navigu\u00e9 vers les eaux c\u00f4ti\u00e8res n\u00e9erlandaises au nord des \u00eeles Wadden. Cette zone de la mer du Nord offre un environnement d'entra\u00eenement difficile, avec des eaux peu profondes, de forts courants, des parcs \u00e9oliens et des couloirs de navigation tr\u00e8s fr\u00e9quent\u00e9s.<\/span><\/p>\n

Une \u00e9quipe combin\u00e9e n\u00e9erlandaise et belge en eaux tr\u00e8s peu profondes (VSWT), compos\u00e9e de plongeurs sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s des deux nations, s'est entra\u00een\u00e9e \u00e0 la recherche de mines et d'engins improvis\u00e9s en eaux peu profondes, y compris dans les ports et les chenaux. Cette \u00e9quipe conjointe a d\u00e9montr\u00e9 les liens \u00e9troits et l'interop\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 qui existent entre ces deux alli\u00e9s de l'OTAN.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tout au long de l'exercice Sandy Coast, les navires participants ont \u00e9t\u00e9 divis\u00e9s en deux groupes de chasseurs de mines, dont l'un \u00e9tait dirig\u00e9 par le SNMCMG1.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab Nous avions \u00e0 notre disposition non seulement des unit\u00e9s de Pologne, des Pays-Bas, de Belgique, d'Allemagne et du Canada qui font d\u00e9j\u00e0 partie du groupe \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le commandant du SNMCMG1, le capitaine de fr\u00e9gate Piotr Bartosewicz, \u00ab mais aussi le navire mouilleur de mines finlandais MHC Vahterp\u00e4\u00e4, qui nous a rejoints sp\u00e9cialement pour la dur\u00e9e de l'exercice. \u00bb<\/span><\/p>\n

Cette formation internationale a permis aux unit\u00e9s d'am\u00e9liorer l'interop\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 entre les nations participantes, en affinant la coop\u00e9ration, les tactiques et les proc\u00e9dures dans le domaine sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9 de la guerre des mines.<\/span><\/p>\n

Les r\u00e9gions c\u00f4ti\u00e8res ne sont pas seulement strat\u00e9giques en termes de s\u00e9curit\u00e9, elles sont \u00e9galement sensibles sur le plan \u00e9cologique. Les participants \u00e0 Sandy Coast 23 se sont engag\u00e9s dans la gestion de l'environnement et ont cherch\u00e9 \u00e0 prot\u00e9ger le littoral. Ils ont m\u00eame envisag\u00e9 des situations d'intervention en cas de catastrophe, soulignant la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de sauvegarder les \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes fragiles tout en maintenant les mesures de s\u00e9curit\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00c0 l'\u00e8re de la connectivit\u00e9 num\u00e9rique, le partage d'informations est primordial, et l'exercice a encourag\u00e9 l'\u00e9change de renseignements et d'informations entre les nations participantes, favorisant une approche coop\u00e9rative de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 maritime. Il a permis de nouer des liens diplomatiques pr\u00e9cieux et de promouvoir l'engagement de l'OTAN \u00e0 d\u00e9fendre la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 maritime dans la r\u00e9gion. L'exercice Sandy Coast a \u00e9galement facilit\u00e9 l'\u00e9change de bonnes pratiques et d'approches innovantes en mati\u00e8re de guerre des mines et de capacit\u00e9s d\u00e9fensives maritimes<\/span><\/p>\n

L'exercice a permis non seulement d'accro\u00eetre l'\u00e9tat de pr\u00e9paration op\u00e9rationnelle des unit\u00e9s participantes, mais aussi de renforcer les liens internationaux et l'aptitude \u00e0 coordonner les actions dans un environnement maritime dynamique.<\/span><\/p>\n

Le premier groupe permanent OTAN de lutte contre les mines est une force op\u00e9rationnelle navale multinationale qui a pour mission d'assurer la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 de la navigation maritime en fournissant \u00e0 l'Alliance une capacit\u00e9 constante et cr\u00e9dible de lutte contre les mines. Le groupe op\u00e8re actuellement en mer Baltique, en mer du Nord et dans la partie orientale de l'oc\u00e9an Atlantique.<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
