La premi\u00e8re moiti\u00e9 de 2023 a \u00e9t\u00e9 incroyablement occup\u00e9e pour l'Installation de\nmaintenance de la flotte Cape Scott (IMFCS) avec l'amarrage et le d\u00e9samarrage de\ndivers navires.<\/span><\/p>\n

Au cours des derniers mois seulement, notre \u00e9quipe a fourni des services\nd'amarrage \u00e0 l'autorit\u00e9 technique d\u00e9sign\u00e9e et\/ou a ex\u00e9cut\u00e9 des op\u00e9rations d'amarrage\net de d\u00e9samarrage pour les NCSM Halifax, St. John's, Ville de Qu\u00e9bec et Windsor. Le\ncapitaine de corvette Shane Kavanagh, officier d'architecture navale, s'attend \u00e0 ce que\nla IMFCS ait r\u00e9alis\u00e9 plus d'une douzaine d'op\u00e9rations d'amarrage et de d\u00e9samarrage\nd'ici la fin de l'ann\u00e9e, mais ce chiffre est susceptible de changer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Seul un quart environ des \u00e9volutions d'amarrage et de d\u00e9samarrage de cette\nann\u00e9e \u00e9taient initialement pr\u00e9vues. \u00c0 mesure que les navires de la Marine royale\ncanadienne (MRC) vieillissent et exigent davantage d'entretien, les besoins en mati\u00e8re\nd'\u00e9volutions d'amarrage et de d\u00e9samarrage augmentent, ce qui oblige notre installation\n\u00e0 \u00eatre toujours pr\u00eate et \u00e0 s'adapter en un clin d'\u0153il.<\/span><\/p>\n

L'amarrage et le d\u00e9samarrage des navires exigent une planification, une\ncoordination et une flexibilit\u00e9 consid\u00e9rables. La collaboration entre les diff\u00e9rents\nservices de la IMFCS, de l'ing\u00e9nierie \u00e0 la production, est essentielle tout au long du\nprocessus.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

La section Architecture navale, compos\u00e9e d'un groupe d'architecture navale, d'un\ngroupe d'ing\u00e9nierie sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e, de deux groupes d'inspection de la coque et d'essais\nnon destructifs, collabore pour fournir des services d'architecture navale et d'ing\u00e9nierie\nsp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e \u00e0 la flotte. L'une de ses principales responsabilit\u00e9s consiste \u00e0 \u00e9valuer l'\u00e9tat\nde la coque et de la structure des navires et des sous-marins et \u00e0 formuler des\nrecommandations en mati\u00e8re de r\u00e9paration.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Les op\u00e9rations d'amarrage et de d\u00e9samarrage sont dirig\u00e9es par l'officier\nd'amarrage, qui veille \u00e0 la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des navires pendant les op\u00e9rations d'amarrage et de\nd\u00e9samarrage, en s'assurant du bon positionnement du navire lorsqu'il entre dans le\nSyncrolift et en surveillant les niveaux de mar\u00e9e et les conditions m\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques. En\noutre, la section Architecture navale proc\u00e8de \u00e0 des \u00e9valuations de la stabilit\u00e9 et \u00e0 des\nessais d'inclinaison pour s'assurer que les navires sont en mesure d'effectuer les\nop\u00e9rations requises par la MRC tout au long de leur cycle op\u00e9rationnel.<\/span><\/p>\n

L'officier d'amarrage travaille \u00e9galement en \u00e9troite collaboration avec les\nplongeurs, qui inspectent la position du navire une fois qu'il est entr\u00e9 dans le Syncrolift, et avec le capitaine de quai pour coordonner les \u00e9volutions d'amarrage et de\nd\u00e9samarrage.<\/span><\/p>\n

Du c\u00f4t\u00e9 de la production, l'\u00e9quipe du capitaine de quai, principalement compos\u00e9e\nde gr\u00e9eurs et de charpentiers navals, est charg\u00e9e de veiller au bon positionnement du\nnavire lors de son amarrage et de son d\u00e9samarrage. Cette \u00e9quipe comprend les\ncharpentiers navals qui construisent et entretiennent les blocs de quille qui soutiennent\nles navires, ainsi que les responsables de la maintenance de l'usine qui sont charg\u00e9s\nd'entretenir et de faire fonctionner le monte-charge synchrone pendant les op\u00e9rations\nd'amarrage et d'amarrage.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tout au long du processus, les efforts de nombreuses personnes qualifi\u00e9es\nconvergent pour mener \u00e0 bien ces \u00e9volutions complexes.<\/span><\/p>\n
