LE CPL NO\u00c9 MARCHON<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\" translation-block\">Apr\u00e8s un d\u00e9ploiement r\u00e9ussi de six mois en M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e, le NCSM Fredericton est rentr\u00e9 \u00e0 Halifax, en Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse, le 28 juillet. Le Fredericton est parti en janvier 2023 sous la banni\u00e8re de l'op\u00e9ration Reassurance, participant aux actions d'assurance et de dissuasion de l'OTAN en Europe centrale et orientale.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dans un communiqu\u00e9 de presse, le contre-amiral Steve Waddell, commandant adjoint de la Marine royale du Canada, a souhait\u00e9 la bienvenue aux quelque 250 membres de l'\u00e9quipage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\">\u00ab Je suis heureux d'accueillir l'\u00e9quipage du NCSM Fredericton \u00e0 la suite de sa participation fructueuse \u00e0 l'op\u00e9ration Reassurance... La Marine royale du Canada poursuivra son travail afin de s'assurer que nous disposons des ressources n\u00e9cessaires pour appuyer de telles t\u00e2ches \u00e0 l'avenir \u00bb, a-t-il d\u00e9clar\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\">La Contre-amiral Jos\u00e9e Kurtz, commandant de la Force op\u00e9rationnelle interarm\u00e9es de l'Atlantique et des Forces maritimes de l'Atlantique, a \u00e9galement exprim\u00e9 sa satisfaction \u00e0 l'\u00e9gard des marins \u00e0 bord de la fr\u00e9gate de classe Halifax, ainsi que du d\u00e9tachement a\u00e9rien CH-148 Cyclone du Fredericton.<\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\">\u00ab Je suis extr\u00eamement fi\u00e8re de l'\u00e9quipage du NCSM Fredericton. Le d\u00e9vouement et l'engagement du navire et de son \u00e9quipage au cours de cette mission t\u00e9moignent du haut niveau de formation et de professionnalisme qui caract\u00e9rise nos marins canadiens. En participant \u00e0 des d\u00e9ploiements conjoints avec l'OTAN, la Marine royale du Canada d\u00e9montre sa capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 r\u00e9ussir dans des environnements op\u00e9rationnels complexes en partenariat avec les alli\u00e9s. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\">La Cam Kurtz a \u00e9galement fait l'\u00e9loge de l'\u00e9quipage lors d'une visite du Fredericton \u00e0 St. John's ( Terre-Neuve), juste avant son retour \u00e0 Halifax. Aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s du chef de formation sortant, la Pm 1 Alena Mondelli, la Cam Kurtz a remis la Coupe de l'Amiral 2023 \u00e0 l'\u00e9quipage du navire. Ce prix est d\u00e9cern\u00e9 chaque ann\u00e9e \u00e0 un navire de la flotte sur la base de crit\u00e8res tels que l'efficacit\u00e9 globale, le moral et le leadership \u00e0 bord.<\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\">Le Fredericton a \u00e9t\u00e9 affect\u00e9 au 2e groupe maritime permanent de l'OTAN (SNMG2) des forces navales permanentes de l'OTAN. Le navire a parcouru 35 186 milles nautiques et visit\u00e9 sept pays au cours de l'op\u00e9ration, y compris une escale \u00e0 Tunis, en Tunisie, pour appuyer l'initiative de dialogue m\u00e9diterran\u00e9en de l'OTAN, et une visite diplomatique \u00e0 Split, en Croatie, pour appuyer les relations bilat\u00e9rales entre le Canada et la Croatie.<\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\">Au cours de son d\u00e9ploiement, le NCSM Fredericton a \u00e9galement particip\u00e9 \u00e0 trois exercices multinationaux : Dynamic Manta 23, un exercice de lutte anti-sous-marine dirig\u00e9 par le Commandement maritime de l'OTAN ; Mare Aperto 23, un exercice maritime et amphibie dirig\u00e9 par la marine italienne ; et Flotex 23, un exercice interarm\u00e9es avanc\u00e9 dirig\u00e9 par la marine espagnole.<\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\">Les NCSM Shawinigan et Summerside ont remplac\u00e9 Fredericton et op\u00e8rent d\u00e9sormais au sein du 1er groupe permanent de lutte contre les mines de l'OTAN (SNMCMG1). Selon la MRC, ce changement d\u00e9montre la contribution et l'engagement cruciaux du Canada envers l'OTAN dans le cadre de l'op\u00e9ration Reassurance.
