Cela faisait plus de trois ans que les Journ\u00e9es de la famille du MDN n'avaient pas eu lieu \u00e0 Halifax, et \u00e0 en juger par la grande foule pr\u00e9sente les 23 et 24 juin, les familles des \u00e9quipes de la d\u00e9fense \u00e9taient heureuses de voir l'\u00e9v\u00e9nement annuel revenir \u00e0 l'arsenal.<\/span><\/p>\n

Les Programmes de soutien du personnel (PSP) d'Halifax ont accueilli des milliers d'employ\u00e9s des FAC, du MDN et du SBMFC et leurs familles sur le site pendant les deux jours, avec de la nourriture, des jeux, des man\u00e8ges, des visites, des prix et plus encore pour occuper tout le monde.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab Des \u00e9v\u00e9nements comme celui-ci sont tr\u00e8s importants pour nos familles militaires, et je suis tr\u00e8s heureux de voir autant de gens ici pour s'amuser et pour c\u00e9l\u00e9brer nos gens et leurs familles qui font tant pour soutenir le travail que nous faisons \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le Capitaine de vaisseau Andy MacKenzie, commandant de la BFC Halifax, qui \u00e9tait sur place pour accueillir la foule et distribuer quelques prix de tirage, le 23 juin.<\/span><\/p>\n

En raison de l'interruption de la COVID-19, de nombreuses personnes participaient pour la premi\u00e8re fois aux Journ\u00e9es de la famille, comme Sherry Murphy, qui avait amen\u00e9 ses deux fils pour une journ\u00e9e de plaisir au soleil. Ils sont rest\u00e9s accroch\u00e9s aux structures gonflables g\u00e9antes, mais Mme Murphy a pr\u00e9cis\u00e9 qu'ils avaient \u00e9galement profit\u00e9 des visites de navires et de v\u00e9hicules de police qui avaient eu lieu plus t\u00f4t dans la journ\u00e9e.<\/span>

\n<\/span>\u00ab Ils savent que leur p\u00e8re navigue sur des navires de la marine, alors ils \u00e9taient ravis d'en voir un... C'est bien d'avoir quelque chose pour les enfants qui ne co\u00fbte rien \u00bb, a-t-elle d\u00e9clar\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\n

Les organisateurs des PSP ont remerci\u00e9 les nombreux commanditaires qui ont contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 faire des Journ\u00e9es de la famille du MDN une r\u00e9alit\u00e9, notamment le commanditaire principal Sobeys et le commanditaire Platine Plus Irving Shipbuilding, ainsi que Tim Hortons, Westjet, Avis Budget Group, les Forces pour l'efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique, BMO, CANEX, The Personal, La Financi\u00e8re SISIP, Manulife, Glow, Via Rail, MacFarlands Events, CBC, Move 100, et bien d'autres encore.<\/span><\/p>\n
